The world is against me but I am fighting back!

  • today I went to the ER. I was experiencing sharp pains mid back, nausea, vomiting, light headedness, chills, and had trouble breathing. I thought it might be my kidneys, so I was expecting then to say I had an infection or stones. I don't' have trouble urinating and have not had a fever. Anyway turns out I have an ulcer. Yes, an ulcer. Praise God for it not being something more serious. Probably caused by stress...looking back I can see why. Why is it that when I am taking care of myself and eating the right things I find out I have an ulcer?!?!!? I mean come on world!! The doctor asked if I was eating or drinking, alcohol, greasy, acidic, foods, and I was like "um NO!!" LOL So now I am supposed to take some prescriptions to heal the ulcer one for nausea and one for pain. I am ordered to be on a bland diet which I thought I was already on @@ UGH I am not going to let this effect me! Not ONE BIT!!
  • I'm sorry to hear that you're not feeling well. On the bright side, at least you know you can do what you need to in order to heal this ulcer. You've been doing it already! Keep your chin up. Feel better soon!
  • Good for you to not let this set you back. You're in my prayers
  • The ulcer can also be caused by a bacteria and be treated with antibiotics, but there are probably different causes. Don't beat yourself up about it.....things happened and it's so great that this is something that isn't more serious! But yes, I can totally relate to that feeling of trying so hard to do better and having so many different things seem to stand in your way.
  • Sorry to hear about your ulcer, but I admire your determination girl! Get well soonnn
  • i hope they are treating you for Helicobacter Pylori since that is the most likely cause of the ulcer given your food history. are you on an antibiotic?

if they suspected pylori you would likely be on Omeprazole with clarithromycin, and amoxicillin as well as an H2 antagonist such as Cimetidine
  • Thanks so much everyone for your support and encouraging words!! Doc didnt mention anything about a bacteria?? He said it was probably brought on my emotional stress. :/
