The Beck Diet Solution

  • Hi everyone!
    I've been having serious issues with my relationship with food lately. I'm sure everyone here can relate on some level. Browsing 3FC, I found the section for the Beck Diet Solution. Basically it's a book that uses cognitive therapy to develop a healthy relationship with food. I find that it's very interesting. It works with any healthy diet. And it is a six week program. Each day you have to do different tasks (learning to always sit while eating, eating mindfully, learning that hunger is not an emergency, etc.). I thought it was interesting, so I figured I'd share it. I just got it on Monday, so obviously I'm not very far into it. But I have a great feeling about it.
    Has anyone tried this? Any feedback?

  • I have looked into it, but haven't gotten the book. I think I may. I'm a soc major who intends on going to grad school for counseling and I'm a fan of cognitive therapy, but I had never thought of using it as a weight loss/lifestyle tool and when I saw they did, I was pretty interested.
