20-something intro!

  • Hi everybody! I am brand new to the 3FC boards although I have reviewed many of the articles and posts in the past. I'm 27 and am struggling to lose around 65 pounds. I am in that "contemplation" stage of change I am considering going with the SBD way of eating.

    I have 3 cats (Elvis, Abby, Bear) and a live-in boyfriend. We love to play games, read, listen to music, go to shows, watch awesome television bootlegged from internet, etc. I'm also a grad student in a professional counseling program, but I currently work full time in a boring office job.

  • Hi there! I think SB, or any other diet that focuses on lean meats and lots of veggies is a great way to start eating healthier. I find that eating sugar or refined flour makes me want to binge and eat everything in sight! By limiting the intake of carbs it really helps me get a handle on what I eat and not devouring everything lol...
  • Welcome friend! You will find 3FC helpful in so many ways. It is a great support system as well as a one-stop shop to amazing recipes and Q+A's. I wish you the best of luck in your new lifestyle. Just wait until you step on the scale; it will be so rewarding.

  • hi hippie! Welcome to 3fc There's a SBD thread over in the diets section, if you haven't checked it out yet. It has loads of great recipes and ideas. Good luck with your effort if you decide to go for it
