Oh ick....

  • Ok, now let me paraphrase this by saying that I used to be a HUGE mozzarella cheese stick fan, but those things are now the ONLY thing on my "no no" list. Anything else I work into my calories, but cheese sticks will tip me back into "no man's land."

And this...it's no wonder people are growing bigger and bigger....Denny's. Wow.

  • That's gross, and I went to http://www.thisiswhyyourefat.com/ and sure enough it's already up there!! lol. That site totally makes me not want to eat. Great to go to when I have a craving b/c some of that food is just EWWWW!
  • Oy vey on the sandwich, although I took a look @ thisiswhyyourefat and a few of those concoctions don't look quite so bad. Weird taste combos but at least not grease delivery systems; the turkey and cranberry sushi might actually be worth a go
  • Honestly? That looks really yummy to me. I would never order it, but on the off chance that I tried it, I think it would be delicious!
  • Guy Fieri has a restaurant out here called "Tex Wasabi's". They have an entire "Gringo Sushi" section of the menu. There I ate a sushi roll filled with bbq beef brisket and french fries.

It was reallllllllly good. For a bite or two, anyway.
  • Eh. I could see the appeal for cheese lovers, but I don't have that love.

My triggers revolve around sugary and bready dessert type things though.

    A.
  • Ohhh just looking at it made me feel sick to my stomach! Blaahhhh... Now grilled cheese by itself... Oh that is my no man's land!! MMMM!!
  • Anymore anything fried just doesn't sit well with me at ALL. Cheese though...cheese is the nectar of the gods...yum...
  • Starch and fat are a really bad combination for me. I feel really sick afterward, so even if it tastes amazing, I couldn't handle more than a bite or two.

To cut it into wedges and serve as an appetizer for six, maybe - but to serve it as a meal, with french fries no less. Even at 400 lbs, I wouldn't have considered that a valid, or appealing meal choice. Of course, I've never really been a fan of fried cheese or grilled cheese sandwhiches. Even living in Wisconsin, while I have gained a better appreciation of cheese (and the amazing cheese curd - new, just made cheese, ideally still warm from the vat), I'm still not a fan of fried cheese or fried cheese curds. Besides when you fry the cheese curds, they lose their squeak (I didn't understand the appeal of the squeakiness, either - but I am a convert).

I think a lot of the mega-calorie foods like those on thisiswhyyourefat.com would be fine as something you split with a group of friends (and many you'd still have leftovers) a couple times a year, but are ridiculous as a meal for one (or even two or four or for some of them, 10 or 20).
  • I don't see a calorie count on that, but it's got to be very bad news.
  • Maybe it's the two different types of cheese, but that just absolutely does NOT look appetizing to me. Blech.
  • Yeah, that is not appealing to me at all. The other day I was out to lunch with a friend and he ordered a burger that actually had 2 grilled cheese sandwiches on the top and bottom. Basically 4 pieces of bread and 3 sandwiches all in one. Made me sick just looking at it. Of course I'm not the biggest cheese fan anyway.
  • That sandwich is just as bad as KFC's chicken sandwich where two chickens replace the buns.

I googled the nutritional info...they're guessing that the whole entire meal, french fries included, will be 1700 calories. That's 500 OVER what I eat a day. BARF. http://www.dietsinreview.com/diet_co...d-cheese-melt/
  • i'd probably try it, honestly.
  • Looks good to me. What's so disgusting looking about it? I'm sure its high in calories but probably no worse than anything else at Dennys
