Stuck in the 170's

  • I'm new to this website, hoping I'm doing this right-not too sure where to start. I need something to help motivate me some more!! I am hoping to connect with people my age who are struggling to lose weight too. My normal weight before I got pregnant with my second child was 150 lbs. In March 2010 after being 180 lbs for a year and it not coming off, I joined the gym. my weight when I started my workouts was 178 lbs. I'm at 170 lbs right now and feel like it's taking forever to get my stomache back to it's normal size and back to my normal weight.
    I have started taking more classes at the gym and go 4-5 times a week for an hour to an hour and a half. In the past two weeks I've been watching how much I eat and what I eat to try and help the weight loss process. So, between the gym and seeing everyone else's posts, hopefully this will keep me motvated and to reach my goal at a faster pace!
  • Welcome to 3fc! There's a lot of places to start, but you started the right way, by skimming the forums.
    Two great places? One is the Support thread for your weight within the 20somethings forum... these are listed with the titles like "Moving out of the 180s" etc. Find the one for the 170s or 160s and just hop on in!
    If you're doing any particular program, the second good place to start might be a Food or Exercise thread, depending on what you're doing. They have threads for EVERYTHING...
    OOH, and don't forget about challenges... under "Chicks up for a Challenge". There are timed challenges, religious-based challenges... just about anything you can think of!
