  • Ok..I am having SUCH a hard time getting off my butt to work out. It has been so freakin hot outside! I live upstairs above some businessess and I *think* they leave after 5 or 6 but I work @ night and leave around 730-8pm. I am going to try going walking before bed in the morning. Hopefully it won't affect my sleep. It's cooler then so I can do it outside.

    Anyone else up for a 7 day exercise challenge? It doesn't matter how much (although feel free to set a distance/time/amount goal if you want) just as long as you move every day for the next 7 days!

  • Sure, I'll join in! Anything to help hold myself accountable My goal is to do 50 minutes of either jogging or elliptical Thursday, Saturday, Monday, Wednesday, and strength training/boot camp style training on Friday, Sunday, Tuesday.

    Thursday, 6/24: Done! Jogged this morning before work
    Friday, 6/25: Done! a 25 minute upper body interval strength training workout & a 25 minute lower body interval strength training workout (they were part of the 10 pound slimdown series with Chris Freytag on our cable's On Demand channel).
    Saturday, 6/26: Done! 30 minute explosive cardio workout & 26 minutes HIIT on the ellipitcal for 2.3 miles.
    Sunday, 6/27: Done! 60 minutes of the Biggest Loser Last Chance Workout DVD.
    Monday, 6/28 Done! 50 minutes of HIIT on the elliptical for 4.5 miles.
    Tuesday, 6/29: Done! 40 minutes of the Biggest Loser Last Chance Workout DVD & 10 minute ab workout with Kendall Hogan.
    Wednesday, 6/30: Done!! Walked for 5 minutes, jogged for 20, walked for 4, jogged for 20, walked for 5, for a total of 55 minutes and about 3.75-4 miles.

    WOO-HOO! I completed the challenge!

  • I'm in. I'm planning on this for the whole summer (getting the old butt moving every day). It will be great to have some online accountability.

  • I'll join in! My goal is minimum 20 minutes of movement each day. The other day I just put on music that I love and I danced around and did moves I remember from fitness classes and old workout tapes. I also did leg lifts, squats, dumbell exercises and crunches. I did it for 45 minutes - heart rate was definitely up and I did a lot of sweating. I plan to stick with that exercise for a while.

  • 6/24 Thursday: 30 minutes cardio/weight interval training, 3 miles on treadmill @ 3.3MPH and 5% incline (guesstimate on the incline ) (This is what I planned and accomplished for today - FYI )
