I have seriously become an awful, out-of-control snacker. Especially late at night. After a few attempts at trying to stop (they all only lasted a few days) I thought maybe I'd do better if I had a little support. I found this site searching for "south beach without eggs" and was really pumped to find lots of awesome ideas.
I'm gathering recipes, but my prepared meals often mirror the low-carb, high-protein meals i'm finding. My big problem is carb-y snacks. I really can't get enough bread, pretzels, chips, etc. I think a lot of it stems from boredom & habit--not hunger. I'm not usually a tea drinker, but I've started having a cup of mint tea in the evening and it really helps cut down on the cravings. I've also been drinking seltzer instead of plain water.
If anyone has tips on curbing snacking (including non-food related activities) I'd love to hear them. Maybe I should take up needlepoint to keep my hands busy.

again sometimes it works. Have a great day.
