    Just started my first day on IP...Had Wildberry Yogurt for breakfast...Leek Soup for lunch...So far, so good. I had to really slug down the wildberry yogurt drink...it tastes really sweet, maybe a little too sweet. In any case, I'm excited to get started and start seeing some results.

    I know that IP suggests that we eat iceberg lettuce in unlimited quantities. Does anyone know if we can eat unlimited amounts of Romaine lettuce? It just seems like such a better choice to me. Just my opinion, of course, but iceberg doesn't really have any nutritional value.

    I'm looking forward to sharing my successes with you all and hope that, at some point, I can contribute to the discussions as well!!!

  • Deena, my coach said absolutely no iceberg lettuce. Maybe other people are different, but I eat romaine hearts and I'm losing weight just fine. Iceberg has no nutritional value and can really cause stomach issues in some people. Welcome and Good luck! :-)
  • I couldn't stand the yogurt drink, probably because I love real yogurt and was hoping it would taste similar (it doesn't). I believe that all lettuce is ok except for spring mix, which is considered a veggie.
  • I was told that I could eat any lettuce I would like to. I've only been on IP for 3 days so far and am losing weight. I've had both Iceberg and Romaine and am having no issues losing weight. I'm down 9lbs so far in 3 days so I would say it hasn't had an effect either way..

    I'm just one day ahead of Stacey41 and ohh my, my day 3 was hard too. I had a hard time getting out of bed... infact, I felt so out of it that I went back to bed after I had breakfast and slept another couple hours then i felt good
  • Stick with it AngieEH and Stacey41...it really does get easier! On Day 2 I couldn't even get out of bed because of a migraine and extreme nausea. I kept with it though and I must say that the past month has flown by. I haven't cheated once, nor have I wanted to. My previous diet consisted of diet coke and fast food. Since starting IP, I haven't had either. It's been an amazing experience for me so far! You can do it!
  • my coach commented on the yogurt consistency being kinda off so I avoided it. What I don't like are the puddings - so far, I tried banana and strawberry. Halfway through the strawberry one, I nearly chucked it out.. so I experimented by adding some water, some ice and blended it up - it ended up being like an icy dessert. The texture was gone, the flavour was very light but I finished it

    my faves so far are herb and cheese omlette, orange pancake and crepe. (my coach let my have restricted foods because she said she just got a memo about how they are changing from no restricted packs in the 2-3wks to now being allowed)

    I too am on day four. I must say I love IP! I have had a couple mild headaches and a few hunger pains, but I must say this plan is so easy to follow. I already feel better.

    I have had fun the past two days playing around with the packets. Being at home for the weekend, I had access to a blender all day. I am getting quite good at making chocolate/coffee shakes for breakfast. Today I took my raspberry jello and put it in the blender with ice and water. I added a spoon of splenda. After I blended it up, I poured it into a bowl and ate it like ice cream. Awesome!!

    This evening for a snack, I decided to put the vanilla pudding in the blender. I added ice and water with a couple spoons of splenda, a tiny splash of almond extract and some cinnamon. It was actually more like ice cream than pudding. Again, awesome. I am just so excited. I really think I am going to get to goal on this program!

    Just keep going and be creative. Check out all the recipe posts for ideas.

    Loving it! I can't wait for my first weigh in on Thursday.

    Day two was a little rough for me today. I guess it is going to take a while for me to figure out how to schedule my meals. I usually don't eat anything until 9:30 and today I was shaking by that time. I had the Pineapple Banana drink and I think I'm going to trade that in for some more chocolate drinks. That was great last night. That is my only rough patch, so far. I feel pretty good and I'm hoping that Day 3 will go without a hitch.

    I am so glad that I found you all...This is the first time I have used a weight loss method that is so regimented. I think it's going to be great. I'm really tempted to check my weight, but I've promised myself and my coach that I will wait until my weigh-in on Monday. Thanks in advance for everyone's support! You've already made my day!

  • Day one is going great so far.........I got a little hungry this afternoon so I ate a protein bar which is a no no but it helped.

  • I'm almost done with day two now...the wildberry yogurt was awful. My favorite so far was the pina colada drink. I had the lemon pudding last night, and it was not great, but edible. I think I'll try the whole blender thing, maybe with some raspberry extract or something. And tomorrow I'm going to try the cappachino drink with some coffee - I'm having caffeine withdrawals I think. I'm hopeful tomorrow (my day 3) isn't as rocky as many other posts I've read. So far it hasn't been too bad!

    Don't worry! It gets better. I was sick and felt horrible for about 4 days. On day 5, I woke up a new woman, I swear. Your body is probably detoxing and going through many changes. Keep with it, it DOES get better!
