  • I got an appointment at another clinic. They said I have to get a physical there before becoming a new patient and the earliest appointment I could get is August 3rd, wow, lol. I informed the lady I spoke with that I have no income or insurance. She said I will just need to bring a notarized letter from Scott stating that I live here and I am not working. They have a sliding scale fee program that I may be eligible for and even facilitated health insurance enrollers on-site who may be able to register me for low-cost or no-cost health insurance. So, I got my fingers crossed. My main worry right now is if they want to charge me for that initial physical because I have no money at all. I have been in email with a lady from their office and she responded with this response when I asked would I need to pay for the physical - "Usually you are expected to render payment at the time of your visit but if you are unable to, you do have the option to be billed." I am trying to remain positive and hope that this is a place for me to have medical care from now on. Wish me luck.
  • Good luck. Health care is very important, and I will have my fingers crossed for you.
  • Good luck! I'd call every few days and see if there are openings
  • Maybe your family can help you out? Good luck with your visit.
  • Thanks so much ladies.

beerab - The recepitionist I spoke with told me if they had an opening sooner she would give me a call but I will call as well, thanks for the suggestion
  • Congrats on finding another clinic. I hope it all goes well.
  • Thanks Roxy
  • Best of luck hope everything goes well for you x
  • crossing fingers for you!!!
  • I hope it goes well too! I really wish that it wasn't so hard to get health care for the uninsured. Hopefully that situation will improve soon.
  • Thanks so much y'all
  • YW! Yeah call me an annoying patient I still call because they are so busy they rarely take the time to call and say "oh yeah we DO have an opening!"
  • Hope this works out for you.

Even with insurance, we pay a fortune to go to the dr. On top of our now $30 co-pay, there is a 20% co-charge of anything that is done and the appointment fee. Its sad to think we pay over 700 a month to have this insurance
  • Wow, that is nuts
  • OMG....that is just so incredibly wrong!!!
You guys should move to Canada!

    (((hug)))
