First real NSV!!!

  • So.

I don't like to throw away clothes. so I have a bunch that don't really fit me from when I weighed less (especially if they were expensive). So tonight as I was cleaning my room and cleaning things out and throwing clothes away.... I decided to try on some old Lucky Brand jeans that I haven't worn in about a year.

    They fit.

So I tried on the next pair, and the next pair, and the last pair, and they ALL fit! They're 14s and I am so beyond stoked. I just can't believe it! And I'm actually a little pissed at myself because the other night, before going out with friends, my trusty Wal-Mart $12 size 16 jeans ripped in the leg. I was so upset so I went to Wal-Mart where I proceeded to find none that fit. Went to Target and found two great pairs. All of this could have been avoided if i knew my old ones fit! But they do and I'm happy and whoooo.
  • CONGRATS!!!! Isn't it great (and a little sad) when you can go "clothes shopping" in your closet for clothes that actually fit again!!!!

And it def puts a lil pep in your step!!!! Rock 'em out, girl!
  • Congrats! I love when that happens!
  • Congrats!! I am finding that I can fit into some of my little sis's jeans now too!
  • I'm a little new here. Can some one fill me in on what NSV means please...

And congrats on getting back into old jeans
  • eyks, NSV means "non scale victory." It's when you notice your weight loss progression outside of the scale.

Congrats on fitting your old jeans, sunflower! I bet you're glowing in your size 14s!
  • Thanks for filling me in
  • I liked this NSV. It's great to go shopping in your own closet.
  • And, I found a really hot dress that I was never able to wear, so I put it on and it looked awesome! I wore it out in Vegas and it was so comfortable and I felt so great!

Unfortunately I gained some weight there but I think it's mostly water weight (my feet still feel swollen).
  • Congratulations! That's awesome progress. I have two expensive pairs of jeans that I bought several months back that I have not yet been able to wear because they don't fit. I bought them without trying them on as usual because I hate trying clothes on and figured they would fit because of their size. I also have this black lacy shirt I've had for years but never worn (again, bought it without trying it on) that I'm looking forward to wearing for the first time. You've given me some much needed motivation!
