  • I found this browsing on Craigslist. Hey, it gets boring at work. Lol. A lot of us have the extra fat around our middle section. Aka the pooch.

The cure: You can do it when your watching TV, Driving, posting on 3FC, or anytime.
sitting or standing slowly suck in you belly like your trying to look thin, and hold it there but dont hold your breath. Hold it for about 10 second then slowly let it out. Do it as many time as you want, as often as you can.
  • This is one of the exercises my belly dance instructor gave us to do. Hahah... I did it while walking yesterday. =D
  • I do this all the time....especially while trying to fit into my goal jeans
  • I do this when I'm walking, I tighten my belly muscles for 30 seconds then relax for 10 seconds... if I remember to. It helps as I work in a call center so I can do it during calls.
  • I commute about 45 mins. each way to and from school, and I try to do this in the car while sitting in traffic
  • Thanks for the tip! I will try it while I sit at work!
  • I wish i knew about thisbefore....all those years I spent sitting behind a desk just letting the pooch lay around and not pull its own weight. LOL
  • Has anyone done this and noticed if it works or not? I went down town yesterday and tried it the whole ride there but I wonder if it really works?
  • Well you can't really target weight loss to certain areas, but it does help tone abs and give core strength. Provided, if you want to see your abs you have to be thin enough to do so. It does make you stronger though.
  • i did this twice today. I think it's gonna help me succeed with my push-up challenge.
  • At least I know I did something right working out wise in my life lol. I always have done that to keep my pooch from hanging while I was out. So I'd naturally just suck it in and give myself a break once in the while.
  • Well....this doesn't work to get rid of my pooch. I constantly have my stomach sucked in all day to the point that it's just natural for me to have it sucked in....and I still have that pooch.

Yes, it does help tone your abs, but you need cardio as well to help burn it off.

    LMAO! That was awesome!
  • *sucks stomach in*
  • Interesting.....gonna try it at work tomorrow.
