This is getting a little frustrating...I've heard that at 2 years or so out you body adjusts to the lower intake and you can gain weight. Well, I have been struggling to eat enough....and I've gained weight! Ok only about 5 lbs but still! One might think that I would lose when not eating enough. But, no…not me!
My Grandmother told a story of dieting all her life, eating 800 cals a day and staying 350lbs....she got so fed up that she gave up being so strict, started eating 1200 cals, and in about a year she was 140lbs!
I suppose that might mean I'm genetically predisposition for the "starvation mode" anyway...AND I'm 2 years out. Not sure! In any case, it's up the exercise and protein and I've been using "myplate" at livestrong.com, tracking my weight, calorie intake and exercise...keeping the numbers within 100 cals + - of my goal amount and its working...at least I'm not gaining anymore!
I am bound and determined NOT to give up on this!
