UTIs are not fun

  • I'd been feeling not quite right for the last two weeks, but I chalked it up to ovulating and my period being on its way. I really wasn't feeling good on Monday, but Tuesday was the worst. I woke up with a horribly sore back, and stomach cramps. My boyfriend was at work, and the store manager wouldn't let him leave til almost noon (he started at 6). I couldn't stand the pain so I took a cab to the emergency of the nearest hospital. Was in and out in 3 and a half hours. And was high the rest of the day from the Torodol injection they gave me.
It was the strangest UTI though, it didn't hurt to urinate. I've had a few of them before and every time that's my first symptom.
Other than a little remaining nausea I'm feeling much better today. I just hate getting sick...
  • Yikes! No blood or pus in urine or anything???? How bizarre! Hopefully the shots help and you're back to your old self in no time!!
  • I feel your pain. I had to do some random tests on Monday and it came back that I ALSO have an UTI! I was chalking up the stomach and back pain to working out too hard... nope. Bladder infection

    antibiotics SHOULD start working soon!!!
  • I also got antibiotics for a UTI two days ago! I already feel loads better, yay drugs.
  • Tis the season for UTIs for us I guess. I am feeling a lot better. Boyfriend was teasing me when we were waiting for the prescriptions to be filled at Walgreens, I was wandering around picking up things and looking at them, I was flying so high on the torodol. He said it was like I was talking then would get distracted "ohhhh shiny". I came home relaxed a little bit, then slept from 8pm to 9 am. Only thing that's still bugging me is a little nausea, but I have something for that.
