Allow me to introduce myself

  • My name is Juli. I am 21 years old and I have had weight problems my entire life, probably like many of you. I am so happy to have found this forum. The little town that I am from does not offer many support groups for the overweight, and the ones that they do have seem to support more of a "roller coaster" diet fad and not a healthy lifestyle change. And no one that I have talked toreally had similar goals as me, so I felt a little isolated. But this site has given me inspiration, especially from seeing people having a starting weight similar to minE that have already started to shed unwanted pounds. It is refreshing. Thank you guys so much. I look forward to becoming buddies with many of you wonderful people.

  • Hi Juli, and welcome. I am doing the MRC (Metabolic Research Center) plan and love it. You might check it out. I have found it easy to follow and when I follow it closely, I see a 3-4 lb loss weekly. Good luck.

    Hello Everyone,

    I am 52 years old and have done some sort of weight dance for most of my life. I am basically trying to cut down on the amount of food/calories that I consume. I have tried Weight Watchers in the past but right now do not have the money to go to meetings. I do have some of the point books etc and will be referring to them also. Maybe I can find some good recipes here.
