Can it be a mini-mini goal?

  • My first mini-goal is to get below 310lbs. I haven't been under 310lbs in maybe a couple of years, if not longer.

My next mini-but-oh-so-inspiring goal is to get below 300lbs. I haven't been under 300lbs in maybe 3 years.
  • I see your weight loss ticker...good work! Keep it up and you will reach your goal!
  • Sure! All for the mini and mini-mini goals! When I started on my journey, I saw how far I had to go, how much I had to lose. As if climbing up a mountain... I did not have mini goals, and did not initially celebrate the little victories, but I was consistent, kept going forward, and saw results. Thankfully it did not happen to me, but I could see how one could become easily discouraged with that type of focus. It was later on that I started to celebrate the little successes. So I think it is great to have mini and mini-mini goals. And celebrate the victories. Any progress is progress worth celebrating. I wish you all the best!
  • Mini-mini goals are more than acceptable. My mini goal is to reach 220. My mini-mini goal is to reach 239. The more we break it down, the more we can celebrate and dance on the scale.
  • They're good goals and I'm sure you will be there very soon I still make minigoals as my goal still seems too far away. Well done on your weight loss so far
  • I love the idea of mini-goals. Today, my mini goal is to actually go to the gym, instead of just bringing my gym gear to work, and ignoring it. My other mini-goal for the day is to skip the Pepsi and chips that have become part of my evening routine. I think little victories can be just as sweet as big ones, and without the little ones, we wouldn't achieve the big ones!

    So well done!!
  • I love mini goals! I like mine to be around 10 lbs and less is awesome! I need them to be attainable, and that 100 lbs I need to lose does not always seem attainable. But I can always get to my mini goal!

I'm a number cruncher and I like to reach percent goals, BMI goals, decade goals, century goals, etc., etc. and on and on. I find it very motivational.
