No weigh!

  • Last night was a special occasion -- one that landed me in a Chinese restaurant on a Friday during Lent. I ordered some stir-fried vegetables with fried tofu in a spicy Szechwan sauce without sugar or corn starch (I had to ask to have it made that way, but the manager is a friend was very accommodating!) I passed on rice and noodles (who needs 'em?)

    I ate only broccoli, green bell pepper, leek, a few water chestnut slices, and mushrooms. It was a minimal damage choice, given the options. But I can tell that I've had me some good ole' Chinese style sodium and MSG! So today I'm going to drink LOTS of water, take my vitamins, pedal my "bike" around WuHu Island a couple of times, and NOT weigh myself today!

  • Thanks for the encouragement. I do feel lighter today, despite last night. I think I'll just sidestep that scale for a few days and then be really surprised when I've lost more weight.

    And I AM having to stay close to the bathroom, but not only because of that water. All the chemicals in that food have caused me a little distress. I won't be doing that again for a while!
