this is lame on my part, but I need support

  • I've been doing great eating healthy the last few weeks. Yesterday and today, not so good. Too much chocolate chips. I know I can do this. My baby brother is getting married in 2 weeks, and I want to look nice in my bridesmaid dress, lol! I've been sick the last couple of weeks and I'm having a hard time getting back into the gym. My best friends are bigger than me and they don't understand what I'm going through, so I turned to you awesome chicks! Any words of encouragement, or swift kicks to the rear are welcome!
  • Don't worry: if you've been doing great the last few weeks, then a couple of days eating too many chocolate chips definitely won't undo your progress! Focus on moving forward with your healthy eating habits, so that all the good you've done for your body so far doesn't get UN-done

Get yourself into the gym, even if it's tough. Activities burn calories, and weight training builds muscle, which burns calories for your body every day... versus fat, which is perfectly happy to exist on your body, burning nothing ! Think about how great you're going to feel in that dress if you've been taking good care of your body.

So enough of this, get goin
  • Yes, great idea on gym. Great idea to make sure your nutrition is in check. I also love my Spanx. It sure slims me up. Have you ever worn them?
  • Look, you can either do it, stop making excuses about being sick or being tired or it just being a few chocolate chips, whatever you need to do. Or you can wonder when wearing your bridesmaid dress if you could have been just a little bit more comfortable in if it you had started today.

Most people are doing to have days when they are off plan, skip their work-outs, whatever. what matters more if what you do afterwards. Stop the cycle now before three days becomes three weeks. Its not that you've undone everything you've done, but you're not moving forward any longer. You deserve to continue moving forward. put down the chocolate chips and grab your gym bag
  • thanks guys!!!!--the dress fits fine now, so I'm not too worried about that. I just want to look cute in it
I keep my gym bag in the car already, and I just loaded some new tunes on my mp3.
I haven't tried spanx, but have been tempted. I may pick up something before the wedding, just incase I'm bloated that day. It'll be a good investment I'm sure!
  • I went to the gym!
  • Good for you, Chickybird. Bet it felt good to 'just do it'.
  • Yay! I know how hard it can be to drag yourself to excercise sometimes, but you're doing great!
