Back on track after V-day???

  • I didn't do too horribly over the weekend, but I've gotten right back on track this morning!

The hubs, baby and 9yo daughter and I went to Olive Garden for our V-day "date" on Saturday and I got the Apricot Glazed Grilled Chicken with asparagus, broccoli and roasted tomatos and it was really yummy! I ate 1/2 a breadstick and the skinny end half of a raspberry cheesecake slice. I think all in all I did well!

This is a lifestyle change for me and since celebrations and such will come in life, I need to build in a little wiggle room for such times as long as I get right back on track!

In order not to discourage myself, I am holding off the weigh in until next Monday. I don't want the scale to get me down (I know how my head works on me) so I know I'll get right back on plan this week and then the scale will be my friend on Monday!

How did everyone do this weekend?? Let's carry on and keep moving forward!
  • That's great that you did so well. I also think I did pretty good. I ate a late breakfast. It was my regular healthy breakfast. We went out yesterday. We ate around 4:30. I had about half my salad, dressing on the side, and ate between 1/3 -1/2 of the dressing. I had 1 croissant, steamed veggies, & grilled salmon. Later I had some chocolate. If you add the calories, I was probably a little over my normal calories, but not by much. I also didn't weigh. It's TTOM for me, so no sense in putting myself through that.
  • I think I did well. I also am of the opinion that we all need a little wiggle room. So, I adjusted my calories to allow for a splurge brunch. I ordered the eggs florentine. I gave my husband the cheese laced potatoes that came with it and took his fruit. I probably ate 2/3 of what I ordered and left the rest behind.

I did weigh myself this morning and I was down 2oz. Not enough to change my ticker but I'm always okay with any loss....
  • Good job! I had to comment on this because my family went to the exact same place on Saturday for V-day also. On top of that I ordered the same thing as you, the Apricot Grilled Chicken! It was yummy! And nothing to feel guilty over, always a good thing.

I laughed when I read your post because of the coincidence, I wonder how many other women went to Olive Garden and had the apricot chicken for v-day and felt great about it also
  • I did TERRIBLY, but am right back on track today.

Well done to all you ladies with incredible willpower!!!
