Exercise for inner thighs?

  • I do not have a gym membership, or have any desire for one. I've figured out how to work most of my muscle groups in my own living room with free weighs, resistance bands, and my own body weight. Most of my legs are pretty toned. My quads and calves are great, my hamstrings and glutes are definitely getting there, but my inner thighs are still jiggly. And yes, they still have a layer of fat over them, but there isn't any muscle definition under that fat. I'd really like to work on toning that area up.

    Any suggestions?
  • My girlfriend has a Leg Magic that works the inner thigh, http://www.walmart.com/ip/Fitness-Qu...ci_sku=7755581. I tried it out last night at her house and I did feel it!
  • Women naturally carry fat on their inner thighs and you can't spot reduce but standard leg exercises such as squats and lunges will work your entire leg. You could also do some plie squats but I think inner thighs aren't an area you want to overwork.
  • I've got one of those big blowup ball things...I use it for squats up against the wall, and then there's another move the book that came with it had inside that KILLS my inner thighs.

You take the ball, place it between your knees, and squeeze it for a few seconds. The goal is to work up to 2-3 sets of reps, 10 seconds PER repetition...I need to get back into doing them...
  • The ball sounds great! Im going to have to try that one!

    Thanks
  • You should invest in the Jillian Michaels "No More Trouble Zones" and "Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism". She has some great exercises to target the inner thighs in both of those DVDs. My favorite is the BFBM because it focuses on using your own body weight to achieve results. But both of them are great, and should be used in rotation (don't recommend using them on the same day) if you decide to invest in them.
  • I also like the BFBM DVD...but it's rough on my knees with all the jumping around. I do it sometimes, but not too often. Sale with her 30 Day Shred. Haven't tried "No More Trouble Zones" - will have to!
