    Hello everybody!!

    I use this site alot for dessert recipe ideas and decided to join today! This is my 3rd time of doing the southbeach diet. This time my aim is to loose a stone by march for my sisters wedding! Im on my 3rd week, i tried to go onto phase 2 this week but didnt like it. Didnt feel in control and felt i was putting on weight, so have decided to carry on with phase 1.

    Did anyone else have probs with phase2? Hope i carry on loosing on phase 1! Any hints would be much appreciated!

  • Welcome to SB lustygaze! Most of us eased gradually into Phase II by adding only one new thing per week. We call it Phase 1.5 around here. Lots of threads about it.

    Do you think its ok to do phase 1 for month? Really just want to loose a big bit of weight before i start phase 2 as i havent got much time! Am a bridesmaid in March!! When i tried to start phase 2 this week i was feeling really hungry after having a bowl of bran flakes in the morning, and then the same after my apple/banana at break! So reverted b k to phase 1!!

  • Maybe adding in cereal and fruit was too much too soon. Read through the link I posted above about gradually easing into Phase II. Here's another one about limiting time on Phase 1.

    Don't know what stones convert to in pounds, so I don't know how much you are trying to lose, but you really don't rush it by staying in Phase I too long.

    trying to lose a stone, 14 pounds! both times i did sb before i did phse 1 for about 6 weeks but then got bored!!
    Think i may stick to phase 1 for another couple of wks coz then got a week off so may be easier to get head round phase 2 and try diff things when i have more time!

  • Lusty. That sounds funny! I am on my third SB and adding more slowly this time. Mostly only fruit and late in the day. Glad to meet you.
  • to The Beach, Lusty! I'm glad you decided to quit lurking and go ahead and join us!

    Phase 1 can get boring because you're so limited in your choices, and your body will need the added nutrients that you'll be getting in Phase 2. Many of us do a Phase 1.5, and you may find that it works well for you.

    I have a problem and cant stop eating dark choc, now feel sick!! Managed to stick to it today on a hangover too, and now just spoilt it! Oh well freshstart tomo, starting with exersise dvd!!

    You can step away from the chocolate and jump right back on plan. No need to wait until tomorrow. You've done great don't give up now

    That was the other cheat, i drank wine last night!! Ive been on phase 1 for 3 weeks now (with the exception of attempting phase 2 for 2 days), i didnt drink for first 2 weeks but now am allowing myself to drink 1 night at weekend. But mainly sticking to vodka and diet coke, last night was naughty!!x
