  • Well, we are nearing the end of the 1st 30 day challenge. Everyone has done SO well. I am really proud of everyone. It's time to sign up for the 2nd challenge (if your interested). Here's how it works:

    Starting Wednesday, August 28, 2002. We will try to do the 3 things that work. Food, water & exercise. You decide what your food plan is, how much water you want to drink and how much exercise you want to get every day. Every day you have the opportunity to earn 3 points.

    1 point for sticking with your food plan
    1 point for drinking the amount of water you decided on
    1 point for getting some exercise.

    Post out here every day with how many points you've earned for a given day, and I will keep track. We'll see who's doing the best after 30 days.

    This is a very cool way to keep on track, because even if you don't do so great on food, you might still get in your water and exercise to earn the points!

    I didn't do so hot the 1st time, but I have been doing much better in the past week. So I am up for another 30 day challenge!

    Food - I'll be counting them points (28-33)
    Water - Let's try 100 oz.
    Exercise - I'll be moving my butt (at least a mile every day)

  • Hey I'm in! I will come up with my goals and post them on Tues. 8/27 so that I can start fresh on Wed. I'm planning to start WW on 9/3 my son starts mothers day out then. I think this will be a great challenge. Thanks for getting it started!

    I think I'm going to stay the same for food & water (stay within my points range for WW & drink at least 100 oz per day) for this 30-day OP challenge, but tweak my exercise a bit. I'm going to change it to doing cardio exercise for 25 minutes 4 days a week & toning 3 days a week, rotating it every other day. I'm starting to notice how weak & flabby I am! Hopefully the addition of toning to the cardio exercise will help this.

    I'm going out of town from the 28th to the 4th (with no e-mail access) but PLEASE count me in!

    Here are my goals:
    *I will eat a well-balanced diet, eliminating over-processed foods, red meat and heavy fats. Keeping the calories under 1800. And JOURNALING it all.
    *I will limit my soda intake to once a day (except for diet drinks which I can have more), subsituting water for the rest of the day.
    *I will exercise for at least 45 minutes, everyday. Even if it means breaking it up into 3 bite-size chunks.
  • I'm in again, as well! I'm modifying my water goal a bit; it was 96 oz, now it's going to be 48 oz. (the WW minimum). It is just too difficult for me to get my water in while I'm teaching - can't be running to the potty every half hour!

    My other goals will remain the same: Exercise for 20 minutes per day and stay within my WW points range (currently 24-29 points.)

  • I'd love to do it all over again Its a great challenge and this month I will try and beat last months score. Seeing how well everyone is doing also is a great motivator. my challenges this time will be
    food = follow WW 26-32 (range allowed for lactating)
    exersize = half hour walk or if I cant get out do 10 mins tummy exersizes crunches, situps ect gotta get that belly in shape after the baby!
    water = 48 oz

    I love the fact that by the end of the 30 days when my motivation is lagging the challenge restarts so I can fire up that ol willpower again!

    I will do toning or cardio for 25 minutes a day, or swim for 2 hours.

    I'm changing my water goal as I am just not accomplishing the goal I set last time. I'm going to lower it a bit and see if I can do that then next time I'll put it back up. I'll go for 64oz like some of the others have put.
