a couple of things to think about when you first start..
let's say you range is 24-29 (my range) - think about how many points you ate before you started dieting.. (me.. I could easily put away 80 points! :O) Give yourself a break the first couple of weeks if you eat 40 points - that's still a huge improvement!!!
your first couple of weeks are also a learning experience - journal journal journal - not just what you ate - but how it made you feel - ie. "wow.. that 6 point lean pocket was a big waste of points" chalk it up to a learning experience and move on.
take baby steps.. you are not going to do it all at once.. and if you think you can - you will fail.
just this week - do one of the following:
eat 5 fruits/veggies everyday
or
drink your water
or
measure/weigh your food
by doing just one of these things for a WHOLE week you are not only going to see results at the scale but you are also teaching yourself a great habit. It took me a long time to work up to 93 oz of water every day - it's now a habit.
Good Luck on your journey... and beware, like any journey there will be forks in the road
