Today, December 23rd is Festivus.

Every year I consider having a Festivus party, but can never manage to pull it together. Maybe next year I'll finally do it. All I need is an aluminum pole and people willing to celebrate with me. Although, if I'm hosting the party, I think that makes me the one who has to get wrestled to the ground.

Yay! I love this!!! I think it'd be great to have a Festivus party. Beats the heck out of that "ugly christmas sweater" party!!

Ahh Festivus! I didn't realize there was an official day though! How funny. I will now be wishing everyone a Happy Festivus!

My undergraduate house (dorm/dining club) at college has a traditional Festivus party every year in lieu of dinner one weekend during final exam period. Amazing (tempting!) ethnic food from a dozen local restaurants + skits and tomfoolery = literally the best holiday party of the season. I think I plan to celebrate Festivus as a serious holiday for the rest of my life.

While dining at a restaurant the end of November a big family came in and they now have an ugly christmas sweater party! Oh holy cow, I never laughed so hard in my life...the guys had gone to resale shops or goodwill or somewhere and they had on the GREATEST sweaters...it was so funny!

tehehe that's so awesome that people really celebrate it, Happy Festivus hah!
I definitely am going to be on the lookout to do something next year, especially since I don't celebrate christmas!
