  • New week. We're all doing great this month. Let's hang in there through the end of the year ladies.
  • IM not doing as great as I wanted. I lost 4 pounds this month which is not what I intended.

    Maybe my goals are unrealistic.

    anyways, I cheated yesterday which could explain why im so disapointed this morning. In one day I gain 2 pounds just because I cheated a little b it. It is So disapointed and unreal. Whats gonna happen at x-mas!
    Ill weight myself tomorrow again to see if it is just a water thing.

    Today:
    B: Bowl of cereal with milk
    L: Chicken with broccoli
    D: Pad thai with scallops

    Exercise: none, I pulled a muscle this morning sneezing! Yeah Sneezing, what a load of $*%&#*&#
  • A 4lb loss is still significant and good. Don't worry, I doubt you put on 2lbs in a day. I bet the number will be back down tomorrow.

    Here's my menu for tonight, night shift again -

    Bowl cooked spiced veggies
    Bowl all bran with skimmed milk and tsp honey

    Not terribly interesting but it's all about fuel. Trying to be really well behaved foodwise this week in preparation for the Christmas break.

  • Zofia-1-2 lbs per week is the goal. 4 lbs in a month is very realistic. I think I lost 5 lbs last month and I stick to my plan 99% of the time. I don't know what you ate yesterday but I suspect water retention has something to do with a 2 lb gain in one day.

    B: Shredded wheat n bran, banana, low fat milk, sugar free latte
    L: steak and blue cheese salad, 1/2 pita, hummus, small piece of sugar free chocolate pie someone brought me at work for my birthday
    D: pan fried chicken, golden vegetable gratin, cherry and lemon ricotta gratin, glass of chenin blanc. I love this wine BTW.

    My goal was really unrealistic and I started to obcessed over it. I recalculate it for this month to be mroe realistic.

    Today:

    L: Turkey and veggies
    D: pad thai from yesterday
  • Here's mine for today. TOTALLY unorganised foodwise due to being busy shopping for a dress to wear to a wedding all day, and there being no food in the house.
    B: Bowl oatmeal with raisins and honey
    No lunch
    D: Bowl oatmeal with raisins and honey

    Couple glasses of rose d'anjou

    B: Canadian bacon and egg pita pocket, 1/2 a grapefruit, sugar free latte
    L: wheat berry tabbouleh with some chicken breast
    S: slice of whole grain toast with peanut butter and reduced sugar strawberry preserves, sugar free chai
    D: pan fried chicken, golden vegetable gratin, glass of chenin blanc, cherry and lemon ricotta gratin.

    Wow, that's a lot of food today.
  • Tell me about it! Weddings, dresses, gifts, flights etc etc. January will be a poor poor month...oh well, not the end of the world

    D: Went out to eat - 1/2 a smoked salmon tart, vegetarian risotto, 1/2 a baileys creme brulee, 2 gin and tonics

  • My scale appears to be stuck this week. Yesterday was the day I went to the nursing home where I have to eat out.

    B: greek yogurt with blueberries, blackberries, homemade granola, sugar free latte
    L: steak and blue cheese salad, cup of tomato soup soup
    D: rotisserie chicken, golden vegetable gratin, cherry and lemon ricotta grain, glass of chenin blanc

    B: Bowl of all bran with skimmed milk and honey
    L: I bought a wholegrain sandwich with salmon and prawns, lettuce and mayo. I got back to the office and realised there was butter on it which I HATE so I couldnt eat it. Picked at some of the fish then had another bowl of allbran.
    D: Going to eat in a noodle restaurant with a friend, having what seems to the the healthiest option on the menu - wholewheat soba noodles with tofu, courgettes, red onions, mushrooms, peppers and mangetout in chilli men sauce. 2 gin and tonics
  • Sarah-I know you may have told me this before but what's a mangetout? I think we call them something else here.

    OK, menu for today and then most likely I'll be awol for a week. I'm not sure how close to the internet I'll be while I'm in Ireland.
    L: Fettucine with mushrooms cream and lemon juice
    D: Bowl of oatmeal
    S: Can of beer with workmates in the office

    D: triple-onion, roasted garlic and tomato soup, shrimp fried rice, glass of chardonnay, will probably have a piece of fruit later.

    Have a good time in Ireland Sarah. I'll be away for Christmas too but not till next week and hopefully will have internet access.
