I love my trainer

  • I do... I never thought I would. I thought personal trainers were just there to take your money, and teach you how to do exercises you couldn't do by yourself, so you would have to keep paying them.

I was wrong. I admit it. I'm learning SO much. I might grunt and groan and occasionally swear at him, but he knows what he's doing.

I do feel, that by the end of this session, I will have the knowledge to continue on my own. The confidence that I'm doing the exercises correctly, for each body part.

K, I'm getting off my soapbox. Just wanted to give trainers a big shout out!
  • Yay Suzy
In my opinion, a good trainer should assist you in becoming independent of them. But it's always important to return on occasion for a brush up session and to add to your knowledge base.

We can never learn everything when it comes to fitness. The knowledge in this area is continously evolving. Even a really great personal trainer will hire another accomplished trainer to keep him/her in good form.

The confidence to execute your workouts when you are alone is another important point you mentioned. The world of strength training can be a pretty big threshold for some people to cross when they decide to pick up the first dumb bell. 'Course, once they do there's no looking back.

Congratulations on your weight loss so far!
