Newbie here

  • Hi there! I'm Lindy and am new on here but not new to losing weight. I'm at moment over 300 lbs. My goal is to weigh 325lbs by the end of the year or at least close to it. I weigh 337lbs. Been heavy all my life. With my thyroid problems, I'm hoping now that the numbers are where they're supposed to be, I can finally lose the weight. Even tho I've started on a 30 day challenge with another forum, I'm looking for more and that is more support from people like me. I'm always looking for more new stuff to help me with my journey. For my exercises, I've been doing the EA Sports Active (on day 8 - doing the 30 day challenge) and Jillian Michaels Ultimatum Fitness 2010 (on day 3 doing the 6 months resolution). When it comes to food, I'm very picky with food and tend to not eat enough. Well, I think that's it for now. Looking forward to going through the forum.

    Sounds like you're ready to go with a can-do attitude and a good plan - the support you need is here - you can do this and we'll all be here to cheer you on!

    Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained! There's also info and first hand advice on different eating plans and exercise to help get through the ups and downs.

    There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

    I've only been here a few months myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.

    So welcome - you 've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!
