I've started SB again and am wondering what brands make "legal" breads. Are there any reasonable brands that make "legal" SB breads?

I haven't found any yet. I can only fid legal bread at Trader Joes

Nature's Own makes a 100% whole wheat sugarless bread now. They also make the hamburger buns. I live in Texas and can get them at most every grocery.

APRIL, as JOANN mentioned, the Nature's Own is legal. Many also use the EZEKIEL BRAND bread, but read the labels as some may not be, but I know the green label is, the one with sesamees.

There are probably others as well, depends on where you live. You may want to post the same message on our SB WEEKLY SUPPORT BOARD where we all tend to congregate, many of us are also on the east coast, so depending on where you live, we may be able to throw a few more ideas out for you.

However when you check out the ingredients, you usually find some sugar in the form of corn syrup (again! ) or molasses. I switched to tortilla--you can get those in whole wheat and it makes for good eating--just put your cold cuts on the tortilla, add a legal topping, and roll up. Hmmm!

I'm having a tough time finding bread without added sugar as well. I was going to try Trader Joe's but haven't had a chance to get over there. Now that I know they carry some, I'll definitely check it out.

I found a bread called "Health Nut" at Kroger. Red plastic labeling Whole wheat with nuts in it, no added sugar

In Texas I get bread in Albertsons made in accordance with Sugar Buster, Actually has their name and logo on it.

Is sourdough bread legal? How about sourdough English muffins?

Yes, it is, but you want to make sure that you get the healthies version, not one that's filled with junk. RUDY'S SD BREAD is the best that I've found - I know, if you have a TRADER JOES, some of them do carry a good one, and for English Muffins, WHOLE FOODS have some great WW ones - then again, if you like to bake, I have recipes for both

I thought as long as there were not over 3g sugar in a product it was considered okay on Sugarbusters. Am I wrong here? Most of the 100% whole wheat breads I've seen do not have over 3g sugar in them and most are lower.
