Are you taking the day off?

  • Are you taking the day off from your weight loss program to enjoy the holiday or are you finding a way to work the "holiday food" into your program?
  • For me, there are no days off:
Mine is not a "food plan or diet" it is a lifestyle. For lunch today, we had turkey burgers with baby spinach, tomatoes and we had frozen sweet corn. For dessert was watermelon.
Water or Green Tea or fresh squeezed lemonade sweetened with Stevia are the only drinks we have beside organic fat free milk or soy milk. Breakfast was oatmeal an organic egg and an orange.
Supper will be baked skinless(antibiotic/hormone free) chicken, organic brown rice with chicken gravy and broccoli, and whole wheat tortillas.
  • Today being labor day, I am at work, I don't mind it....so I'm doing my routine planned foods. I enjoy these foods so I do not feel like I am missing out something.
  • Food plan didn't change, but had to get a bit creative to get my exercise in with the gym closed and it raining!
  • Today is my "regular" rest day from working out anyway, but I did get out for a walk and I'm continuing my healthy eating and not having BBQ food.
  • Breakfast and lunch I was good- but I just had dinner and it was Rally's YUM! big buford and a small fry- HEAVEN!
  • I got up and went to the gym this morning! 2 miles on the stationary bike and a 1 mile on the treadmill (wasn't feeling well)

Tonight we are having a barbeque so I am going to be BAD!
  • I didn't go off my food plan at all. I didn't exercise, but that's more a factor of having a very bad cold, not a factor of the holiday.
  • I was very bad!!! * Goes and stands in corner *
  • I did not take the day off from my plan to accommodate the holiday. It was just another day to me.
