hey, where are you all?? is it canada day or something???

hope ya'll had fun.

well, i'm so proud of me i could just POP!!!!! i actually walked a mile this morning!! without stopping! yes, it took me nearly a half hour, about twice as long as it used to take, pre-illness, but I DID IT!!!!

and now i'm sitting here with a well-deserved 16 oz glass of very very icy diet pink lemonade!! in baggy shorts and t shirts, contemplating getting ready for work. can i go to work like this? bleach stains and all???

and we've finally had someone over to give estimates on various repairs plus a small deck, and it's all possible. work will start on friday, which is a very happy thing. mom and i can then enjoy the cooler evenings. i don't know which makes mom happier: the fact that the treacherous wheelchair ramp is going or that the deck will have window boxes for flowers and a couple of posts to hang bird feeders and plants on!!!

well, off to protein shake, lunch making, and the rest of the day.

A quicky reply this morning but HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!! Yesterday's party was fantastic! The vows were exchanged in a packed Church and the bride and groom were piped in and out. ( I checked out the guys in kilts with my shoes with the mirrors on the toes.) We partied with BBQ and dancing (Irish and Scottish and "normal") and had a great time. My 90 year old auntie was dancing with my granddaughter! By nine we had cleaned up all the food and swept the hall and went to the cottages on the lake to carry on partying! I believe skinny dipping was part of the deal later on but I came home early - like 11.
Am pretty pooped this a.m. and realized Gail is coming to clean so did the usual tidy - not too bad as I've had drop-ins all weekend and kept on top of stuff.
So....today is 48 devilled eggs and strawberry shortcake day and lunch at The Farm for "only" 20.
It's been lots of work but sure is fun!
Early bed tonight for sure! But I will watch the Canada Day celebrations on TV - unless there is some sports event!

Yesterday was a scorcher and today doesn't look much better. I gave up at 9 am yesterday when our house temperature came to 78 degrees. We went to the beach where I'm sure you can imagine was packed solid! It's 77 now and it looks like a long cool day in the basement. Dh is working today (yeah, I know) but head off ice doesn't care that it's a Canadian hoilday--just that the month end reports are done! Grrrrr....

First day back on Provera to stimulate TOM and now comes the hard part--keeping track of all my meds! I had scrambled eggs this morning, Miree loved it and ate every bite! So far so good--still chugging back all that water! Still have my cold but it's travelling down inot my lungs--I hate that, I'm coughing all the time.

Morning to all to come. I am off for a bike ride. I have about a 7 mile loop that I like to do and it is very easy to do it 2 times or shorten it if I need to. DH and I are going to play golf on Wed and I have friends coming Wed night for the 4th. These are the friends that ive in Minasota that older boy and myself went to visit in March. We met 7 years ago in a playgroup and have managed to stay friends long distance for the last 5 years when they moved to the Midwest.

Ok going to get on with my day and pretend that my cramps are not bothering me!

Yesterday was a total Off plan day for me but a well deserved fun day. I ate and ate, felt like a stuffed fish when done (I drank tons of fluid too) but today I am back Op and ready for all!!

Another very hot and humid day in Wisconsin! Yesterday it ws 93 in the shade! Oy vey! I couldn't mow the lawn cause my arm hurts so poor DH had to do it all and with a borrowed lawn tractor. Ours died yesterday and cannot be resurrected. We will be buying a new one on Wednesday.

I spend a great deal of time with my leg propped up...talk about boring! My arm seems better and I think that I'll check with the doc tomorrow. I did go upstairs for a bit this morning to do some sewing. By 9 o'clock it was awful up there, even with a fan.

I'm working on taming a kitten whose mommy seems to have abandoned it. I named it Stormy a few weeks ago cause his mother always dragged him around when it was pouring rain! He is just darling and I sat and told it all about it's mommy, grandfather, great grandmother and great grand uncle...all of which were very much my pets. Then I proceeded to have a good bawl....why do I do that to myself?! I wish so much that I could send Stormy to LindaT as it will be such a good pet. Very smart and playful.

So...I'm off to prop up my leg AGAIN an then do some cleaning.

Well most of my morning is recorded in the exercise thread, so I won't repeat it all justAlvin went to the health club to walk in the water... I'm so glad he is finally feeling like doing some exercising.

Had a pretty good weekend, I went with Alvin to the club (it was his first time) and he did like the pool. Sunday had a wedding shower for a cousin to go to. Sampled a few High carb things, but did'nt do much harm.

We are having computer problems at work and it's very irritating!!!

Alvin has decided that his high protein diet is what is causing his kidney problems, so he has quit his protein shakes in the morning and for lunch today he wanted potato salad. MEN...

Took one stage of the drivers test today - AND I PASSED! Hoping for part two in the next day or two. PLEASE do not let your license expire!! It is so different than when WE took the test!
