  • OK Everyone, Here's a new and exciting challenge to get us through the rest of the summer!

    Let's pick a goal weight that we want to achieve by Labor/Labour Day (September 7) and we'll keep track of our progress.

  • I plan on re-losing the 10 pounds I put back on.
    Starting Weight 138.
    July weight loss....7 lbs.

    August 1st
  • My goal is to get to 149 lbs & hold it for at least 5 days.

    June is OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    July 1 - 154 lbs. - Today is the first day of the new me! Planning to exercise late today and eat well the rest of the day. --- Ooops - never got to the gym today. Will do 90 min. tomorrow.

    July 2 - 153 lbs. - Did 60 min of exercise so far - hope to squeeze in another 30 min later. I've got a new lunch - 1/2 cup raisin bran + my soy protein drink. Fills me up & lasts all afternoon. I'm going to try to do 1 new thing every day.

    July 3 - 153 lbs. - No exercise today - foot hurting again. Guess I will need a second cortisone shot. I have been eating dinner with my DD & SIL - more calories than I need. Tonight I will make the dinner and take to them. Need to eat fewer calories on days I do not exercise.

    July 6 - 154 lbs - Ahh the ups and downs of life! My DD stopped the acid on her face part of the treatment & is now dealing with the blistering. She looks like she's been scalded. Found out Saturday that my sister had been in the hospital. Drove up there to see her yesterday. She's got a bunch of symptoms but no diagnosis. Pustules, extreme pain in hands and feet, extreme tiredness. Looks like chicken pox & septic arthritis. Right now they are giving her massive doses of antibiotics (that are, of course, making her sick). NOT GOOD. Of course, I'm back OFF-track with eating/exercising. One more time - will have a good eating day today.

    July 7 - 154 lbs - My temporary goal is to not go above 154 during the month of July. Right now, I have to just keep hanging on.

    July 10 - 153 lbs - DD has one good day followed by one horrible day. Dr says it takes 2 weeks to get through the "healing" process after this treatment. My sister is feeling better, but her white count is back up & they cannot identify the type of infection she has. They just keep trying different antibiotics. I just keep hanging on - by the tips of my fingers! Not really helping anyone - just worrying.

    July 27 - 154 lbs - This summer has been a real roller-coaster for me - with mostly downs. Cat died, my sister in the hospital, I had the flu & had to cancel a trip to the college graduation in Phoenix, AZ, my DD had the face cancer & horrible treatment, a trip to Las Vegas, and a car accident. Through it all, I am ending up at the same weight as I started. I guess that's something of a success. I'm still keeping my same Labor Day goal - 149 lbs. Time to get serious.

    July 28 - 154 lbs - Back on track & doing the Pantry Challenge. Cannot believe how many veggie burgers I have in my freezer. Will have to figure out some way to change up meals based on them.

    July 29 - 153 lbs - Feeling GOOD today - my DD went to Dr - NO MORE CANCER!!!! Back on track with my eating & GOOD book club meeting.

    July 30 - 153 lbs - Another good day. Got my car back from the accident. $500 deductible, car repairs cost $500. Now we'll see how much the repairs to the other car costs. Tomorrow is my dermatologist visit & then trying a new Scrapbook store with my DF.

    July 31 - 153 lbs - Good eating day. Found a new Scrapbook store where we can meet to scrap. I am VERY happy about this. Ended July with a visit to the dermatologist. He found a few little cancer spots on my face that he burned off - no biggie. I am VERY much looking forward to a better August than my June & July.

    7/11/09 (my 3 month marker!): 167.5 (that's 30 lbs. lost in 3 months!!!)
  • I'm in! Labor day is almost 10 weeks from now, so my goal is to lose 2 lbs. per week, for a total of 20.

    My exercise goal is 30 minutes every other day of aerobics or treadmill.
  • Me too! Let's keep up with this. I'll be back from vacation on July 7 and plan to jump right in! I want to lose 20lbs like you, Puffy. Lets keep each other motivated!
  • Yes, I'll jump in here. I'd like to lose 10 pounds and be at 132-130. (Depends on what I weigh today. )

    July 1-4: Busy with wedding preparations and have been testing all the cake batter and frosting. I'm not able to fully concentrate on losing weight until after DS's wedding but I'm glad I have 3FC to at least nudge me in the right direction.

    July 20: I'm finally eating normally as one can on a vacation. Never had any food or junk going to bed Sunday night and will not tonight either. Down a couple of pounds from the weekend but still above posted weight on tracker.

    August 17: What a summer! Not all good because mom passed away. I'd just like to get back to being the weight I was before everything happened.

  • I'll keep my goal small. I'd like to get to 160 lbs by Labor Day. Today (July 5th) I am 162.

    7/5/09 1376 calories, bs great, 12 carb servings, no exercise.
    7/6/09 162 again but bs was really great..think the lowest I've ever been!1358 calories, 11 carb servings, no exercise.
    7/7/09 161.5, 1333, 11 carb servings. This is great considering we were out of town, eating out for lunch and at our son's for dinner! bs good.
    7/8/09 160 (finally!! - that's 10 lbs loss since first of year IF it will just not go up again), 40 min cardio, bs good, 1338, 13 carb serving. Hopefully I will have to change my goal! That'd be good!
    7/9/09 160.5, 1087 calories, 10 carb servings. forgot to check bs. exercised a few minutes, walked around our largish yard and deheaded rhodies.
    7/10/09 160.5 (I'm barely holding on too!), 40 min cardio, bs fair, 1177 calories, 11 carb servings.
    7/11/09 159.5!!!!!! I've been SO excited to post this...I have not been below 160 for a few years!!...now to maintain it and keep going. If I am able to maintain it or even 160 until the end of this month I will change my goal for Labor Day! A little gardening, bs slightly hgh, 1278 calories, 12carb servings, planted lots of flowers, watered.
    07/12/09 160.5, bsH,1213 calories, 12 carb servings, no exercise.
    07/13/09 160, bsH, 1594 calories, 12 carb servings, shopping only exercise.
    7/14/09 159.5, terrible eating day..I'm sure I was well over 2000 calories and way too many carbs! 7/15/09 160.5, bs good, 30 min stretch and 40 min cardio classes, 1379 calories, 12 carb servings.
    7/16/09 160, doctor appt..A1C dropped 2 pts!!, BP great, so celebrated with fast food and a mocha drink...BAD DECISION!! Way too many carbs and calories!, 1915 calories and 14 diabetic servings. No exercise.
    7/17/09 159!! Whew! Didn't expect that but am very grateful!, bs little high, 40 min cardio, 1577 calories, 17 carb servings. Too many carbs!
    7/18/09 160.5,1533 calories, 13 carb servings,walked a lot. I have decided that it is time to drop my daily calorie goal to 1400. This will not be eay since I often have trouble sticking to 1500 but I think I need to do it so will try.
    7/19/09 160.5, bsH, lunch out, 1749 calories (whoops!) and 12 carb servings.
    7/20/09 161.5, 30 min stretch, 40 min cardio. lunch out, 1445 calories, 14 carb servings (corrected). Few minutes stretching tonight, shopping today.
    7/21/09 160.5, not sure what's wrong with me...another bad eating day! Brunch out, did pretty well, then just lost track of calories tonight!
    7/22/09 162.5! Gotta get back OP! bs good, 30 min stretch, 40 min cardio. 1518 calories, 13 carb servings.
    7/23/09 161.5 bsH, 1428 calories, 10 carb servings. Lots of slow walking while shopping. Bought new clothes and was happy that I could fit Large on top (instead of XL)..and Medium in skirts (I usually can never find skirts that look good on me but these did!)...this is only in stretch clothing but it's still great to me! I also bought a pair of capris with a stretch band in a size 12 but think I could probably have worn a size 10 if they'd had one. They are cute though and maybe will shrink a bit.
    7/24/09 161.5 Ugh I'm tired of this number! Our son and his friend were here today so we had a bigger dinner than usual and I did not track but pretty sure I had 200-400 calories too many. my bs was only a tiny bit high.
    7/25/09 160.5 (thankful!), 1810 calories, 14 carb servings!! All these special dinners and eating out are killing me!! I have to get control!
    7/26/09 162 (no, no!) did well most of day but then ate a whole bag of trail mix!!
    7/27/09 161 (well, at least I dropped down again!), bsH, 30 min stretch, 40 min cardio, 1583 calories, 13 carb servings.
    7/28/09 162, 1555 calories and 12 carb servings, 20+ min stretching.
    7/29/09 161.5, 30 min stretching, 40 min cardio, bs good, 1174 calories, 10 diabetic servings.
    7/30/09 160.5, bsh, 1427 calories, 11 carb servings.
    7/31/09 159.5 YEA!! bsh, 1251 calaries and 9 carb servings.
    Ended June at 161, stated July at 162, ended July at 159.5
  • Count me in too! I would like to get to the 150s. I think that is realistic.

  • LOL why does everyone think it's my b-day? Really it's not...my b-day is in Feb. Sorry my posts were confusing and I do appreciate the thought.
