A buddy would be good...

  • Would anyone in my height/weight/goal range like to be my online diet buddy? I'd love to have someone I could check in with that is in the same "zone" as me. Don't get me wrong, I love reading ALL of these posts and success stories and struggles, but I get excited when I see someone in my range who has lost x amount of pounds.

    I'm 5'6. I weigh 220. My goal is 180 by October 29. I eat 1,485 calories a day and work out moderately during the week. Anyone out there interesting in kicking my butt in this virtual world? Thanks so much!

  • Hmmmmm let's see...... I am 5'7" 227. I am 29. Does the 98 in your name mean anything? I graduated in 1998. I also love diet coke. I am at 1600 calories a day (according to my calorie counter app on my iPhone). I have been working out a few days a week. My plan is to get my kids to the kids room at the gym starting monday.



    What kind of workouts are you doing? I have been doing mainly the elliptical. I think I am going to add in weights this week. I would love to have a buddy to keep me on my game!

    I do 30 minutes on the tread mill three times a week, and alternate with the 30 Day Shred by Jillian Michaels twice a week.
    I posted earlier today that I'm really discouraged. I've been on my game for a week and I gained 2lbs back!!!!
  • Hello, I'm new to and was wondering if I could join you guys. My plan is to exercise 5 days a week with 2 of those days being strength training... I'm trying to count calories but finding it difficult on some days... I'm trying to do an up day higher calories and then a down day of lower calories...it's called alternate day eating or the JUDDD program... I'm also trying to get in my monounsaturated fats at each meal and drink 8 glasses of water...as well as 7 fruits and veggies... A lot so we'll see how it goes....

  • hey our situation sounds much the same , and would like a slimming buddy to . Except fr the fact im 5.4 our weight now and goal weight is pretty much the same.





    I t could do with a kick up the behind.........im just back frm holiday and well my weight rocketed...........so any extra mtivation would be great.


    I to like to read posts and write posts but like you same its not the same as one to one and having a buddy to keep yu on track..
  • I definitely could use some buddies! Can I join the group? My height and weight are very similar to yours, but my goal weight is different (for now, I know that can change).

    I workout 6 days a week at home (mostly with My Fitness Coach on the Wii, with some TaeBo thrown in on one of my off-days). I also walk in the neighborhood twice a day with the kids.

    Do we post here, or email, or start a thread somewhere else?
  • Yes, yes!! Lets all be buds! Teresa and I have been PM'ing to update on what we're doing, eating and for some encouragement. Would you all be interested in chatting via messenger? That may be a bit more real time/user friendly than posting on the forum or via pm. Let me know what you think.
