  • Guess who is dragging her sorry butt back in here (AGAIN!)

Totally failed on the Richard Simmons diet and have decided that ww is definatly my thing. I am still down a bit (more accuratly about 196 not 190) but totally happy to being doing familiar ww again. I really do like so much better! Anyway, please take me back for like the 3rd time, I miss you all!!

  • HOwdy
Welcome back - goes to show how much I know, I thought you were on a hiatus, not doing RS diet. Oh well! You are back and that is what matters!!

Well, I WI yestrday, expecting BIG gains with my injuries, no movment, bad eating, but I stayed the same - exactly. which is good! This week I was good though - in my points at the low end and I have been starting to do little things like make sandwiches, etc, but standing makes my back hurt. This injury might be the death ofme! Typing is really hard, so I'll make this short....

Hello to everyone, I will go back and read the posts from the past few days and get back to you on the weekend (no time at work...) I sort of feel in my new job, having to take a week off work might have hurt me. My boss is acting all weird to me now. Well, 2 fractures on my vertibrae, one on my wrist andelbow are pretty serious and I was supposed to take off 2 weeks minimum, but it seems like she is pissed at me stil, and doesn't really think I am hurt. She made a comment about how I "look really better than she thought I would...." OH well, we'll see. Its a month into this job. Hope I don't get fired

    Belle
  • OH YEAH
I am a bridesmaid on Aug 31 AND on Oct 19...booh!!! But I have made them into motivators. Plus, I got one bridesmaid dress already - size 16 - woo woo.

    Belle
  • Belle First of all congrats on staying the same, sometimes that is as good as a loss when we feel we migt gain. I didn't know you were hurt, what happened? It sounds like your boss is a jerk, I hope she doesn't do anything stupid. You could go legal if you had to, she has no real case to fire you. I woldn't even worry about her. The best thing you can do is follow you dr's orders.

About the dress, congrats on the 16! I would so love to be back in that size (give me another couple of months) I am now in an 18/20 (2x) ARGH! (Mostly 20)

Anyway, thank you for your welcome back, and take it easy you wouldn't want to get any worse!

    Angie
  • Welcome back Angie. I think I'm probably new here since you've been gone.

Belle - congrats on maintaining - wish I had that much will power - I've gained 1 lb each of the last two weeks. I say use the bridesmaid's dresses for inspiration. I was in a wedding this past weekend and after I saw the dress for the first time, I was inspired to lose 40lbs! Now that I don't have to worry about how I look in that dress, I'm not doing so well at motivating myself. I'm trying to figure out a new inspiration as it seems that just doing this to feel good about myself isn't working out too well.
I know it will take a while for you to heal, but keep us updated on your progress - you're in my thoughts.

The head of our division just notified us that we could leave work 2 hours early today with pay. I need to get my nose to the grindstone so I can take advantage of that offer.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

  • Welcome back, Angie! I am a repeat WWer as well...thrid time's a charm!

I keep repeating to myself what Tonya said-the secret to success is: 1) Drink your water
    2) Exersize
    3) Stay within your points

It seems, so simple, right??? then why am I not losing???

Belle-I agree with Angie-your boss can't fire you for getting injured and not coming to work-but if she is looking to fire you she may start to nitpick all of the things you are doing wrong-so be careful!!!

    Winter-40lbs is awesome! I wish I could hit the 40 mark {sigh}
    Are you at goal???

Hi to everyone else-come out and play!!!
  • Belle - about the work thing. You mentioned that you've been there about a month. If you want to take the bull by the horns it wouldn't be unreasonable after 30 days to ask for a 10 or 15 minute mini-review with your boss to get a feel for how she thinks you're doing.

Lori - I'm not at goal yet. According to WW, I need to lose at least 10 more lbs to be within my weight range. Since I've had so much trouble with motivation lately, I think that I'll declare the top of the weight range as goal, try maintaining it for a few months and then if I'm not happy with my health/appearance set some sort of personal goal. Thanks for reminding me that 40 lbs is an accomplishment. I'm so busy thinking about what I need to do yet that I sometimes forget about how much I've already done.

  • Hey girls I have not had a spare moment to post since Tuesday due to the fact that a trainee has been attached to my hip Have no fear though I broke free today for a little while.

Thanks so much for all of the congrats!!!!! I am really excited. I have been using spare moments to make plans for the big day. I think I found my flowers so that is a big thing and my dress I am having custom made so that is decided. Bridesmaids are so hard b/c we have all been in those weddings where you had to wear something that looked hideous on you or just hideous period and I refuse to do that to any of my girls. Their sizes range from a 4 (my annoyingly skinny sister and MOH ) to size 18. So that is a chore but they are all beautiful and I would rather accent that than there size differences. So I press on Anyways os that is the latest for me.

WW wise I am doing pretty poorly the last couple of days but I have still kept off 4.5 pds I just haven't lost anymore toward the swimsuit challenge I think that puts me about a wk behind my goal. I better get cracking Well girls I will try and check in a bit more next week and today.

    Have good wknds!

BTW I have a question for all of you computer gurus. I made a wedding folder and saved it to My Computer under My Pics. I would like to email it to my sister but I cannot figure out how to email the whole file. I click on it but I don't have the email choice. ANy suggestions??? I would really appreciate it.
    Thanks Becky
  • Wintergirl It is nice to "meet" you. I have been struggling for years. I have gone on and off of ww about 5-6 times. Sometimes lasting only a few days, and other times up to months. This past time I was on ww for 4 months and lost 25 pounds....then something happened and I gave up...I don't even know why, I just went back to eating like I used to, didn't write anything down or count points and regained almost all of what I had lost. So, I decided to give Richard Simmons a whirl....but wow you have to eat like a rabbit to stay op (at least that is how I felt). Anyway, I know this is the program for me because I have done it and have been succesful with it. I just need to learn to continue and be persistant. Sorry for babbling on and on...just wanted to say hey, and nice to meet you and WOW on your 40 pounds, that is fantasic!!!

Lori Well, this is like my bazillionth time back on ww (actually it is probably about my 6-7th time) but whatever number it is I hope it is the charm! Well, if I could just drink water, stay in points, and excersice then I would be at goal. It seems so simple in writing, but it is so hard in real life!!! Oh well, we can only do our best right!? Anyway, nice to see ya again, and thank you for the welcome back! ((hugs))
  • Good morning everyone!

    Welcome back Angie.
Hi to Jnini - hope you joined us on this thread too. My "baby" is Skipper a 14 year old thoroughbred.

Speaking of Skip - I had my lesson last night - 15 min warm up - hour long lesson (Boy was I sweating) and a 20min cool down. I sure hope I burned some calories. We also learned some stuff too.

Hey Belle - You are going on your doctor's orders - there's no way your boss can fire you. and if she does, do you ever have a case for wrongful dissmissal suit. Make sure you rest!!

Wintergirl - I hope you get off early and get to have an extra nice night to start your weekend. I know what you mean about the bridesmaid dresses - I have two weddings this summer. we bought the first dress (a 16) and the other is being made for me - we're waiting for closer to the wedding so we don't have to alter. So I'm comfortable as long as I don't gain - but that doesn't mean I wouldn't love to lose and have that dress massively altered
Hi to Lorie and all the other lurkers - I'll check in later.

  • Becky - we were posting at the same time.

In your e-mail program you should have an attachment button that will allow you to browse through your computer files and attach the file you want. If the file is very large, it may take a while. Hope it works!

  • one day down!!!
    Hi all!!

Wel I had a stressful night last night. I have sorta been talking/seeing this guy for the past two months and we decided last night to not talk anymore. So, Ive been a little stressed, and I actually DONT want to eat (this is really rare, Im a huge emotional eater). So at least something good can come out of this (loss at WI next week!!).

Horsie girl: I have a 10 y/o TB/Belgian draft cross. What kind of riding do you do? Good for you on the lessons! I need to start up again myself, but there is NO WAY I could go for an hour!

momof2girls: Welcome back!! HAA!! I just started again myself. Ive tried other weight loss plans too and I find that ww is the easiest to fit into a 'normal' lifestyle.

Belle2000: Sorry to hear about your injury! What happened to you? That is kinda hard that you just started a new job too, but they can't touch you if you are injured. You could sue the pants off of them! Congrats on not gaining this week!!

Wintergirl: Lucky duck! You get to leave early!!

Grace, grace: WOW!!! CONGRATS TO YOU!!! HOW EXCITING!!

OK, guess I should get some work done. Have a wonderful weekend all!!
  • Grace I missed something....I can only assume you got engaged??? Am I right!? CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!! That is SOOO exciting! Good luck with all the planning, it is a challange, but the day is SO worth it! Don't make the mistake I did though and that is let the wedding take over. I had started to lose weight in the beginning of my engagement period, but ended up gaining about 20 pounds thru it all....not fun when you have to get the wedding dress resized (unless it was to make it smaller!!) Anyway, congrats and keep at it, you'll do great!

KT (Horsey girl) Thanks for the welcome and HI to you too!

jnini Sorry to hear about the BF, good for you for not turning to food.....I am an emotional eater (I am an everything eater) and would definatly have hit the Mcd's drivethru and baked a cake! Anyway, glad to hear you are not letting this get in the way of your success!

Anyone seen rat race? Rented it for tonight, hope it is good!

    TTYL,

    Angie
  • Hey Angie - I loved Rat Race - very funny.
Jnini - right now basic flatwork for dressage but the horse (I'm leasing) is a cross country 3 day eventer I took my first jumps last week - he loves it, it scares me so I'll stick with recreational riding on the flat for now. How about you?
