I took Jacob to the park the other day, his very favorite activity. I saw this group of kids playing tag. They ranged in ages from 5-8 and then there was this older girl playing with them, she was like 12 or 13. They just ran ALL over that equiptment playing tag. Then the 13 year old came by me and this time I saw her face. She wasn't 13 at all. She was the mom. And she was older than me. My mouth dropped open. She was just running all over the place with her kids. Laughing, playing and having so much fun. All I could think was I want to be that kind of mom. Full of energy and free of this weight to play like that. I want to play tag!!!! (and have someone think I was THAT young )

Oh, I SOOOO know how you are feeling!!! One of my dreams is to be able to be the mom who is right there in the midst of all the running I mean... I really do most everything. I'm the girl scout leader, I'm the "fun mom", I take the kids to karate, piano, dance, church activities... I've run the nursery at Midweek (church's Wednesday night activities) for three years.... I run to horse-riding lessons... Summer Institute... Gym, Swim & Dance camps. I am home full-time, watching another little one so I have a little extra money for the fun stuff.

But to be able to be the one out there running..... *SIGH*.... That's the stuff dreams are made of

Not being a Mother yet...I can still relate. I see these women who are just full of energy and right there in the middle of it all with their children. That's what I want too..

We will get there and no one will stop us then!

I can say that i am starting to experience the joy of that. I raced my son to the car the otherday. We got there at the same time (he is 9) but just being able to do that is amazing. The lady in the car next to me was laughing and asked who won. To know that for short spirts at least I can actually be right there with them, is so amazing i can not contain my joy! now to have that kind of energy long term!!! ***sigh***

yeah, running is a dream i long to have become reality. i havent ran in so long i dont even remember what it feels like. sad huh? i dont know if ill ever run again, but at least the dream is sweet

but you WILL run someday. i know it in my gut. all of you will. cause you want it bad enough and wont stop till you WIN!!!!!
