  • I AM SO FLIPPING EXCITED!!!!
Being from Canada and living in Texas, i haven't seen snow in, oh, 4 years. Every christmas I get a little morose when I realize the ground is going to be brown and dry instead of white and soft.

It may only be december 10th, but it's flipping snowing and I am so happy I want to cry.

It's barely 35 degrees outside right now so the snow is melting as soon as it hits the ground, but d@mmit It's snowing!!!

I bundled up my son to the best of my ability and went outside to try and get a picture of us and the snow. Here is probably the best one. Stupid flash! I did get some pictures of just the snow falling though.

  • I just got texts from 4 different people and a phone call from my father

It is DEFINITELY snowing in Houston.

Enjoy it! Looks like the kiddo is
  • No fair lol
  • How neat! Hopefully he remembers!
  • Hehe....his face is priceless!!!

Enjoy the snow, even though it seems odd that Texas is getting snow and Massachusetts is in the 60's today! haha
  • Not fair. I am from Texas but am stuck in California. I miss home. I remember two years ago we got six inches of snow in April. It was crazy.
  • Oh wow sounds like fun! I bet your son was really enjoying it
  • Ugh! I'm in Austin and I COMPLETELY MISSED THE SNOW! I was already asleep!
  • I get snow usually every birthday here in OHIO On dec .6th (My Birthday we had our first road covering snow! I use to hate it when I was a kid because people always missed my birthday parties NOW It's So NICE!!ENJOY THAT SNOW!

Ahhh I miss Ohio, I grew up in Northwest OH but do not get back there a lot during the winter months. Luckily I live in NY so I still get to see snow
  • All we got in the way of snow was a few little flakes that didn't stick to anything. We did however receive a huge wind and dust storm along with the cold front that blew those flakes in. 55 mile per hour wind almost blew me down the stairs at work. Rather nasty.

I do remember it snowed on Valentines Day one year in Dallas. No snow the day before and was melted the next. It was like it was just meant for the occassion.
  • OOOOOHHH IT'S SO INCREDIBLE!!!! Snowing in Houston!! Haha you northerners are probably rolling your eyes lol! But it seriously snowed SO much here that it stuck to the cars and grass and trees and stuff...I had a huge snowball fight, too!

And in celebration, a group of us gathered around the fireplace and had s'mores and hot cocoa. And I don't feel the least bit guilty about it since it was such a special occasion!

Oooooh let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!
  • You MUST have been out of Canada for a while.... I'd happily give you all our snow! I HATE snow! I think it would take me being out of the country for a while, or a green christmas, to appreciate our snow!
