  • Hi Everyone,

The last thread was getting soooooooooo long. I have been missing in action. I just rejoined ww last week so we will see how it goes. I am so close I can taste it but I can't seem to get on track. Will try to catch up on the posts when I can but I just wanted to say hi.

    Hi Everyone!!!!

I haven't been here in years!!! I've missed you guys. I got on and saw your picture Brenda...you look great...you're blonde. ME TOO!!!

I can't remember what my screen name was or password so I re-registered...I am Gale from Ellsworth Maine. Lots on new things in my life. One of them was a move to Turner Maine.

Things are going well...just not with my weight. Brenda..you are almost there..way to go!!! I rejoined WW about 2 months ago and was doing well..then I don't know what happened. I need to get back..at an all time high...170! Hit the 40's two years ago and it's been really hard.

I am going to try to catch up on everyone...I've missed you all...you were all sooo helpful before.

talk later...Gale:sheep: I just love these new little icons!!!!
  • Hi everyone,

I tried to go back and read the last thread to see what's been happening around here. I hope I don't miss anyone.

    Oh my Gosh Gale,

It is soooooooooo good to hear from you. I am in Massachusetts now, I moved from Gouldsboro, ME to Machias Me for awhile and then I came home to be around my family. You went blonde too huh? How cool. I can't wait to catch up. I am not here much, not handling being a single mom, working full-time. I have not held a real job in 17 years or so and I am not an organized person but it is going as well as can be expected. Anyway, I get here when I can because I know I can count on my owl buddies.

Setina, how's things going with the house? It looks real nice.

Judygal, thanks for sharing that signature sight with us, I plan to check it out. How's it going?

PJ, so glad to see you all hooked up and ready to surf again. I have missed you.

Candie, I missed your birthday, sooo sorry! Well a great big belated

Happy Birthday to you. I hope you are doing well.

Emmy, I think I saw a post from you, welcome back we have missed you.

Tara, as always it is so nice to see you posting. You have really been the backbone of this forum on many occasions.

Meshell, how are you and the kids doing? Do you still homeschool?

Hello to anyone I have missed. So good to see you all still here. It is so nice to know that even after missing in action for so long I can come back here and see that my friends are still around.

  • We have had a terrible ladybug problem in the house! Now it is spider time, I hate them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got another flowerbed ready for planting but the weather is not good enough to put anything in yet, had a hail storm tonight!

Got to the doc Thursday and my biopsie was negative, always a relief but I have to try the new Nexium pills for my esohpagus the protonix was causing bloating. I just hate any kind of meds, nothing seems to be without side effects!

Sounds like you all are keeping busy.....I'm still op but got into the m&m almonds!

Dh got oil all over his good clothes (and coat) and I have been washing them over and over again..I think I finnally got it out!

I got some new Birkensotcks, really ugly shoes ( a black tie) and I think something is wrong with the footbed in the right shoe cause it feels like something is in the shoe..like a high spot..so I need to take them back I guess( they are so expensive if I'm not gonna wear them). They don't have anything else I can wear right now..spent 2 hours there deciding on these! I have a lot of foot pain so I can't wear just any old shoe!
  • Candice, I've been on the nexium for 4 months and there is no weight gain so far. I'm glad the biopsy came back fine.

I'm courting a nasty sinus infection and wish I had sick days left but I don't, so I'll go to school tomorrow, although I shouldn't. I'm crashing this weekend. Hi everyone.
  • Hi there,

    Judygal,
    Hope you feel better soon.

Candice, so glad the biopsy was negative, you must be so releived, that is so scary. I absolutely hate spiders, they are right up there with ticks, Yuck. speaking of which, I found a tick on my kitchen floor yesterday, Yikes!!
  • Thanks Judy
    cool it worked.

Thanks for directing me to that delphi site.

  • Hi, Brenda! Yes, I am still homeschooling. The children are just finishing up 4th and 6th grades. They are pretty much done for the year since we didn't take a summer break last year. In fact, this will be the first year we have a summer vacation. They haven't wanted to take any time away from school, but with Amanda going into 7th grade (and much harder work), I am insisting on a summer break this year....I need a little extra time to prepare lesson plans for the upcoming year. We will re-start in August.

My doctor is sending me to a pain management specialist for my fibro. My first appointment is May 6th. My husband will have to get off work early to take me to the appointment. The pain management specialist is about 2 hours away, and I can't drive that far without severe panic attacks. I didn't have trouble with panic attacks until about a year after I was diagnosed with fibro. I am really nervous about seeing a new doctor, too.

Well, we are in the middle of a major storm here....I think I heard on TV that there is a tornado warning, so I am going to sign off for now.

    Meshell
  • Thanks Judy..took my first nexium today..so far so good! I have not made it delphi yet but I did some in my Paint shop pro

HI Bren..Yuck is right I hate ticks too!

Meshell..Ididn't know you had panic attacks..my anxiety is bad but never has cause one of those. But some days I cannot get the anxiety undercontrol..keeping busy (getting my mind off it) is the only thing that I can do breathing does not help me! Storms make me terribly anxious!
  • Do you all wear Birkenstocks?????????? That is the only shoe I can wear most days and that is as dressy as it gets! I cannot wear dress shoes at all. I have my New Balance cross training shoes and some SAS Freetime walking shoes (that I wear my orthotics in from the foot doc) but I like the Birks best. I'm sitting here now with the new Birks on trying to decide if I need to take them back. I have so much foot pain that I have to be very selective with my choices and just trying them on in the store is not enough time to tell. I know you cannot wear them outside and return them but he said I could wear them around the house but it takes time to break them in! They are called Princeton and black leather and very ugly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They fit my narrow foot well except for the left big toe barely touching the tip and the right footbed feeling like it is too high in one spot. I keep thinking they will break in and I will not notice these things. I just don't want to cause more foot pain by wearing the wrong shoes! They were 150.00 on sale for 120.00............I have two pair of Birk clogs (navy and green suede) that are too big right now due to my weight loss so need to take those in and see if they can do anything and I have a white sandel with a wrap around strap and a black slip on sandel and my favorite a tan suede Arizona sandel. ( I wear these all the time and they still look good) over ten years old! Dh thinks these are ulgly and I should get one with a strap but they didn't have that in my size and the guy told me they would not fit my narrow foot anyway. Ya think he was just trying to sell me this pair?????????????????

I know too much yacking.......I'm trying to reason this out!
  • This is for PJ.................
  • Hello
    Meshell,
You seem to be your usually busy self wow, I homeschooled for a year and it almost did me in, LOL Give yourself a big pat on the back, you are awesome. I definitely think you should take the summer off, everyone needs to just relax and enjoy life a bit.

Candice, I don't even know what Birkenstocks are, LOL! I am sorry you have so much foot pain. Yikes, our feet are alway in use so I just can't imagine having to go through what you go through.

Where is everyone else? Come out and play.

    Brenda
  • I haven't bought any Birkenstocks yet because of the price. A lot of people with fibro say that they are the only type of shoes they can wear. Around the house, I just wear socks or bedroom shoes. I have a pair of black flats that I can wear most of the time when I go out in public. However, when the foot pain is just too much, I am not ashamed to show up at church in my bedroom shoes. People who know me understand my condition, and I am just thankful to be able to walk again....about a year ago, I was in a wheelchair most of the time. Candice, let me know if the shoes make a big difference....I am afraid to spend that much on shoes I may not be able to wear.

    Meshell
  • Meshell..my foot doc recomened them cause I was having shots in my feet all the time for the pain and wearing Nike all the time. I wanted something a little dressier with support and these give me that. Some people just cannot wear them, they are not designed for their foot but if they feel good to you at first they will get more comfy as your foot embeds its own print in them. They are the only shoes besides tennis shoes that I can wear and I cannot go bare foot due to the pain on the hard surface so I wear these all the time. Do you have a wide foot or a narrow foot cause they are great for wide feet! I am narrow and have to ahve the strapes tightened. They are also good for feet that swell..which my do! You do however need to get fitted at a store that knows something for your first good fit! Then you can buy wherever. Hope this helps some. I know Tara ordered a pair off the net I think and didn't like them, she was not sure if they fit right I think????????????
  • Well I called the shoe store and my son will take them back tomorrow and we will see if they can be fixed or they said they would order new ones or issue a credit. Curious as to how it will play out. They just did not feel right and I gave them plenty of time.

Got a tad bit of yard work done and pansies potted before the big rain>>>>>>>>>>>>>but my left leg hurts all the way from my hip to the bottom of my foot when I do alot of bending or sitting and leaning forward.

Did you all watch that movie "Living with the dead" James Van Prague story.........my son says that is talking to evil spirits they are the opnly ones who can communicate........I'm not sure about that one!
