inches

  • I don't get it. I am losing inches, but no weight. Any advice?
  • You've probably gained muscle, which is a good thing. Hence why you've seen some inches lost but not lbs on the scale. Don't worry, soon enough you will.
  • You should try measuring yourself more so than jumping on the scale. You'll notice more of a difference.
  • Sounds like your body is shifting in the right direction, and you're toning. Give it a little more time and you'll start to see the scale nudge down too.
  • I'd take the inches over the pounds any day. Your clothes fit better and people notice!
  • Thanks everyone for your words of encouragement about inches lost, but not many lbs.
  • Thanks to all for the encouragement

  • Thanks for asking this question.

I tend to lose inches faster than weight as well. The good thing is that I'm able to wear clothes I haven't been able to fit in a long time. I've also learned that the scale is nothing but another tool for me.

    Good luck to you all!
  • Jane - I'm in the same position, so I know how frustrating it can be! According to the scale, I didn't lose any pounds in August. Didn't gain, but basically stayed the same. However, I'm doing bootcamp 3/week, and lifting weights for my arms on a 4th day. I have dropped a pant size, and 1.5 inches in my waist this month, so it IS working.....it's just slow to show up on the scale.

Let's keep at this - we'll be successful!
  • I so know how you feel I have only lost 15lbs but I have lost all over 21 inches. I started out wearing a size 18 and i now wear a 14. I figure it will all catch up in the long run
  • Guess what everyone? I finally lost 2 and a half lbs.Now it is 7 and a half pounds Thanks to all for the encouragement

  • Fo 6 weeks I had only lost 2 and a half pounds ,but lots of inches. Finally, this past week ,I lost 2 and a half more pounds, so obviously, I loose weight sparadically. I am the lowest I have been in a year and a half and now fit into my size 14 pants. That is good for me.So, I would like to loose about 15 to 20 more pounds ,so I will keep turtling along.I hope to loose at least a pound a week and reach my goal by New Year's Eve.+
