starting us up - going to cook breakfast for DH and me and the "girls".

It's nice to have a few minutes to post- DH and I have been leaving for work together in the mornings, a full hour earlier than I am used to and it is messing with my "alone time." I used to be able to straighten up a bit while I drank my coffee and then get in the shower after he left-

Today I am taking some time off in order to run some errands, pay some bills online, and do some cooking- Easter out cut into my Sunday chores and I am catching up today.

Doing better with my eating- had some chocolate mousse for desert with Easter dinner, and a glass of wine, but that was it. It still make me hungry all day Monday, but I brought a protein shake and extra tuna salad to work for snacking, and did OK>

Today is out for lunch, probably a restaurant chicken cesear salad.

Well, that was a good (and appreciated) breakfast - Canadian Bacon and scrambled eggs with onions and peppers. DH had toast and the "girls" a bit of egg.

Dottie - I know what you mean about "alone" time. I get very little of it unless I send DH off to the dump (which we are supposed to call "the Landfill Site")! That is one of the problems with retirement - you are together ALL the time.

Jiff and Peachie - lunch with Mum sounds like lunch with my sister. She is very adept at sneaking pieces of dessert from everyone's plate. One Christmas we gave her an extendable fork - push the lever and you are across the table. Peachie, get off the treadmill long enough to drink water and pee. OK?

I wanna go to Disney with jenniewookie and the kids! I was there about 10 years ago with DH who tried to be very blase about the whole thing until he spotted Pluto, his favourite, and then got really into the whole trip.

Tip, you deserve a self-cleaning stove. I must turn mine on today. Did you know you can use it to clean cast iron too? Only thing is, it takes all the seasoning oil out and you have to start over.

Goodforme, your family sounds as nuts as mine. Good April Fools jokes.

I am off with the puppy to walk down for the newspaper. She has already had a long run in the meadow so the walk should be fairly peaceful. (She is getting the idea that the leash is for civilized behaviour.) Hersh is still jealous of the walks so I will take her in the car when I go to the bank today. Gotta be fair!

today, mom and i are taking my poor car, the one that failed inspection, to get fixed. the goodyear credit card lets me take 3 months to pay without charging interest, so that's where we're going!!! it doesn't hurt that we've known the owner since grammar school, either.

and for the record, i was the one snitching dessert from peachie and mom... they were very kind about it, too

what else is there?? hmmm. job hunt. nothing else.

raul's workouts seem to be getting easier. or, dare i say it??? i'm getting better at them??? naaaaaahhh. couldn't be.

Meet with the little guys doc this afternoon...hope that goes well. My weight dropped back down today...amazing what 18 hours on the tread mill will do for ya My arms are so sore ....I must have been hanging on for dear life...go figure!

Morning Everyone!! Back at school today--I have six kids absent--hope they come back by tomorrow. We start achievement testing-it is always so hard to get them caught up if they are gone. Yesterday was the weirdest day--we had 2 inches of snow and then sleet and then thunder snow and then a thunder storm--just 2 miles south of us and beyond--sunshine and warm temps. Go figure! DS is supposed to have a track meet tonight, but the weather doesn't look too promising. Did get my exercise tape in yesterday and got most of my report card stuff done along with typing the school newspaper. Was OP 99% of the day and "kind of" OP the last part of the day. Hoping to do even better with that today.

Peach, good luck with that shower!! Also at little guy's appt.

Jif, car repairs and job hunting--sounds like you have a full day ahead of you--good luck.

Peachy here is a litle company for you while you are on the treadmill :sheep:

All is well, I finally got little man off to school today. He has to wear sandels inside to keep his toe exposed to the air. But the infection seems to be subsiding. After 4 weeks of him home, between spring break and illness, he was welcomed well by his friends who have missed him. I was glad to see that and it made what I thought would be a tough good bye very easy.

One Dog is at the vet's this am for a teeth cleaning and the other dog is loving being a lonly only. I too will take her for a ride today.

I did not eat well yesterday, but i did fit in 45 min of exercize. one thing at time.

Hello all! Back after two weeks in Mexico...I have a tan and my nails are long! What a wonderful relaxing holiday...the good news is my jeans still fit the bad news is the needle on the scale moved up! yikes! Oh well I can change that..hope you have all been well...have not caught up on anything since I have been away as we only arrived home in the middle of the night! Feels good to be home! I'm having a tough time getting back into the swing of my daily life after a week of vacation. I'm so jealous of Liz's two weeks! Four of my days were spent driving too, so it wasn't nearly long enough. And, yes, I would like cheese with that whine!

Chickadee's travel tips for the day: Stay out of Albuquerque! It is the most impossible city I've ever had to drive around in. There's road construction everywhere with ridiculous detours and streets that just stop and turn into something else with no notice whatsoever. Very frustrating!

Tip No. 2: When you're in northern New Mexico, look up! The clouds are amazing. Everytime I drive to Tucson the clouds in New Mexico stun me. This time I swear I saw angels in them. There was a huge angel shape flying over me for the longest time. That's a great feeling to have when you're driving.

That's enough travel tips for one day. Janice, I thought of you when I saw my cloud angels and hoped that they would head toward Texas for you!

I am so far from being OP that it's scary, but I will get back soon because I feel huge. And, to contribute even more to my feeling less than great, it's snowing here and I hurt my back yesterday giving two of my dogs their annual Spring haircut. Pass the cheese please!

Good afternoon, Ladies.

I miss checking in in the morning but I've been working lately (substitute teacher) and can't log in if I get an assignment (there just isn't enough time).

I can empathise with those people who "just want to be fat and accepted". That kind of thinking got me up to 270! My immediate goal is to get back to 250 and then knock it off in 10 pounds increments from there. I can do this! I MUST do this!

With the help of you lovely people and my supportive husband, I will achieve my goal!

Did OK eating today. No exercise yet. Have to do some floor work with Shane tonight again. At least the cat stretches and side bends help my back pain.

Well, gotta go. Have to figure out what to serve for dinner? Maybe chicken.

My supervisor is losing it. I am thinking of hosting an intervention for her. Her mom died about a year ago and she has gone completely off the deep end. She's obsessive about perfection (let's face it, some of my counselors will never even come CLOSE to perfect contracts!) and is returning about 90% of what we write. The horrible thing is that I am signing them saying they are ok. She's calling 20 times a day nit-picking, even our manager is wondering what the problem is THIS time!! She needs counseling. It's sad because she told me it's interfering in her home and her husband is leaving if it doesn't stop. She thinks he's the one with the problem. I feel for them both.

At any rate, there is just too much craziness at work every day. You shouldn't leave with a migraine every single day. Jiff, you're looking for work, right? You can come down and set her straight for me, ok? I need someone with sense!!
