  • Tonight... Tonight..
Tonight is my official 5 week weigh in (I weigh in for "real" every 2 weeks at my parent's house, because their scale is identical to my doctors office, and the scale I got my start weight off of.)

And my official weight loss for week five is.... *drum roll please*

25 POUNDS!!!!!!!! I Cannot believe it!! I am doing cartwheels (in my mind of course!!)
  • go Bethanne!!!
    Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! I'm so proud of you!!!

I'm going to try to stay off my scale for at least a week. (yeah, right). It must makes me frustrated.

    Congratulations again!!

    Sherry
  • Beth Anne,

    That is the GREATEST!!!

Keep up the good work. I can't wait till I'm at your starting wt....

Congrasts to Beth anne and Sandi
  • DUHHHHH!!.......
I forgot to tell you that I lost 4 lbs to make that 39 lbs. down. I'm right on the ball, huh?

    Gayle
  • Hey Congrats to you too Gayle!!! I'm just trying to catch up to sandi
  • First week weight loss = 2lbs.
My diabetes nurse practitioner says that's a good start - slow and steady.
I'm reading Dr. Ornish and doing research on nutrition to help me change my diet (no wonder vegetarians are thin) and doing Richard Simmons exercise tapes (fun)to keep moving that butt.
    First Weight 266
    Weight now 264
First goal 256 by end of month
    Reward spring outfit
  • BJ, that's a good rate. 1-2 lb/week is perfect. I think that's the way it will stay off! I'm averaging 3/wk. I lost the extra last week, 'cause I was 'banking' cals. for Easter - then, miracle of miracles, I didn't go over my calories!!

So, just keep it up. You're doing great.

Beth Anne, I am so proud of Sandi. She posted to another missage board I did for a while, and I was so tickled to see her here. Good job, Sandi...and I love your pic.

    Love,

    Gayle.

PS...BJ, vegetarians aren't all skinny!...not that I am one, but I've read posts by some ladies who are, and they are fighting just like us. You can go overboard on any eating plan, I guess.
  • Aw, shucks...
You guys are so kind. I really aprecaite all your kind words, make me all warm and tingly. I took me a year to get this weight off, so it's YOU GUYS who are REALLY doing awesome. Gayle 39 lbs, since Jan!!! And BethAnne -25 since Feb 22!! OMG!! You guys ROCK!!! BJ - 2 lbs a week is awesome!!! If I had been slow and steady, I'd be down 104 lbs by now, so you just keep up the good work.
  • Wow! Everyone has done so well! Me included! My first WW weigh in was today and I was down 4.8 pounds! How psyched am I??

I have posted this a couple of times so if you have read this already I am sorry! I realized the scale I have been using since my weight loss journey began last year is two pounds less than WW. It was two pounds less both last week and this week. So really my start weight was two pounds higher. I dont know if anyone pays attention to this or not but I wanted to expain the the difference in my start weight since I will be going by WW as the official scale. Either way you look at it it's 39 pounds down and I am thrilled!

    Good Morning,

    I lost five pounds

Now, if I can only keep it off and not repeat my usual pattern-losing well the first week, messing around the second week and gaining it all back.
