  • Ok Here is the next challenge. It is about 6 weeks til Mothers day.
    My goal is to just have a loss

    April 4 + 1.5# Not a good start but I started the other one with a gain and ended up with a loss

    April11 -2.5# Now I am going the right directions

    April 18 -.25 It is better than a gain but I was expecting to do better this week

    April 25 no meeting

    May 2 -.75 I don't know how This makes me down 2# I think

    May 9 - 2.5 This makes a total of - 4.5# I am very happy with this

    Hey Ladies
    I think I will join this challenge. But I'm not going to put a certain amount down. Just to have a loss in the six weeks. I will write my dates down later. I weigh in on Tues eve.

    April 2 - 3/4 loss
    April 9 - 1 1/4 loss
    April 16 - 2 loss
    April 23 Stayed the same!!
    April 30 - 2 loss
    May 7 - 3 1/4 loss

    I lost a total of 9 1/4 lbs on this challenge. Yeah!!!! Thanks for the support.

  • I am going to join you gals. My goal is to lose 11 pounds, that will bring me to a 50 pound loss. I lost 4 3/4 at weigh- in last night, but that was for 3 weks.

    April 4 - lost 1 pound! not a lot, but I was pleased

    April11 - turtled

    April 18 - gained 2 pounds (vacation)

    April 25 - lost 3 1/2 pounds. I feel really good about this.

    May 2 - turtled again!! sorry, will try harder this week

    May 9- lost 2 1/2 pounds

    Well, I lost 5 pounds for the challenge. Didn't make my goal of 11 pounds, but I am pleased with what I have done. thanks for making it a challenge. mary ann
  • Hi Everyone! Count me in! I missed the last one! Ok Here goes.... I am going for 10 pounds and don't try to stop me......LOL I know it is a bit much but I am going to work even harder to get there. Any loss will be nice but I want to have a goal to shoot for! WHEN I reach my ten pound loss, I will be smaller than I have in years!

    April 2- + 2.5 my first wrong way!

    April 8- -4.5 157 Yippee!! 3 to go for MDC

    April 16- -1.25 155.75 1.75 to meet MDC

    April 23- 0 155.75 Sigh..............

    April 30- -2.5 153.25 MDC met, phew!

    Count me in. Hopefully I can have a loss this time around.


    March 28th - Gained 2 lbs I am now 182 lbs Not good

    April 4th - Lost 5 lbs I am now 177 lbs Yeah for me

    April 11th - Gained 3/4 lb But I WILL have a loss next week

    April 18th - Lost 1 1/4 lbs I am now at 176 1/2 lbs

    April 25th - Gained 2 1/4 lbs Must have been the predisone 178 3/4 lbs

    May 2nd -

    Well ladies I did end up having a loss this time. I leave on the 2nd so I won't be able to go to meeting. So the challange is over for me.


    I have to end my challange a week early because I will be gone to myrtle beach for a week. So hopefully I can lose weight before I go. That is the plan. I am still working at it and boy is it work.

    April 17 Lost 1 pound

    No weigh in....I am excused this week due to a work meeting.

    I will try for another 6 pounds. I met the last challenge, barely, so I will stay with 1 pound a week.

    April 25~ -1.50# I'm almost afraid to say anything. But I am determined to reach my goal!

  • Well I just posted this to the Low Carb Thread and I'll do it here too

    I'm already down to only 1# over what I was before i got pregnant (according to my home scale anyhow). I'm not going to commit to a certain number of pounds to lose, but will commit to keeping my water up over 100 oz a day, continuing to eat no added salt, eating veggies with every meal (except fruit), and not combining my proteins and carbs.

    This will be my first Mother's Day, and I want to greet it healthier than I was at the same time last year.

    I will also commit myself to exercising as soon as I get the go ahead from the Dr. Hopefully at my 4 week postpartum check.

    I am not sure if I am doing this right but sure would like to try.
    I haven't been sucessful at losing weight but i do keep on trying.
    I never had anyone to encourage me and lose confidence in myself after a little while.

    Count me in for joining the Mother's Day challenge. I did not do very well for the Easter challenge, but spring is here (on the calendar) and coming (the weather) so I should be able to get out and exercise, which for me, is the key. I would like to have a loss of 5 pounds, but anything would be great.

    April 2 - down 1/4 pound (will happily take it!)
    April 9 - up 1 1/2 (TOM)
    April 16 -down 3/4 pound
    April 23 -
    April 30 -
    May 7 -

    Hopefully, there will be lots more (smiles) on Mother's Day!
  • Well, well, well, here I am. I guess I will try to get back to my goal weight. Haven't been there since May 2001....11 MONTHS!!!!! So....that means that before tonights weigh-in I have 7#'s to lose.

    Lets START and Continue the determination!!!!!

    April 3 - lost .25! I'm happy it's a loss, but need to get better.
    10 - lost 4.5. Thrilled to be back in leeway. WHEW!
    17 - Turtled....barely! WHEW!
    24 - gain .75. [boo-hoo] Back at top of leeway.
    May 1 - gain 1.5#'s! That much out of leeway!
    8 - another gain! .5!!!! NO NO NO!!!!!

    I did not end this on a good note. Yes, I am down 2#'s BUT I'm over my leeway again. Bring on the next challange!!!!
