I've been lurking on these boards for at least the last six months, so I feel like I already know many of you!

After carrying around "baby weight" for eight years, I finally just decided to do it. I've been losing weight slowly but surely just by cutting calories.

One thing I've noticed by lurking is that even when the progress is slow, if it's going in the right direction, you'll get there eventually!

I'm a little scale-phobic, so I've been gauging my weight from my clothes and measurements. I know the scale is a great tool, but the number freaks me out!!!

Anyway, I'm down from a size 18/20 to a 14/16.

Coming here has inspired me to keep up the fight even on my worst days ... so thank you! You help more people than you know by sharing your stories.

Katie, welcome! Come join us on the Calorie Counting board, if you like. Some of us have been doing challenges to help each other stay on track with eating and exercise. We're just finishing up the Canada Day challenge, which will be over July 1, but we'll be starting up a new challenge for Labor Day, so keep your eye out on the CC board for that thread, and come join us, if you like! Any of the challenges or chat threads on the 3FC board are a great way to make connections, make friends, and get ongoing support and motivation.

I'm a scale hater as well LOL 18/20 to 14/16 is awesome! Isn't it awful how baby weight just wants to hang out for years LOL
