Good Morning!
I am exhausted from this weekend. Spent Saturday at an auction stocking up on manuals to sell on ebay. It wasn't too fun, but I've got enough stuff to keep me going for months. I sell tractor manuals, which I know is kind of wierd, but I've found my niche. Yesterday was spent shopping and moving a car from the mountains to the plains. It's still really icy here so it was an adventure in trailering! Which brings me to...
Jenniewookie Of course you can pm me! I am happy to help you however I can.
Peaches
Keep both feet on the treadmill until the ride comes to a complete stop! You crack me up, my sweetness. I'm sure I'd do the same thing. Does this show how obsessed we are by numbers or what - scale, treadmill, as long as the numbers are there we're happy!
Goomba I am so with you on the discipline thing. Actually it's an issue I was dealing with this weekend, because my son came home at 1:30 Saturday morning, when midnight is the absolute latest he was allowed out. He's grounded now because I think accountability for your actions is very important. If we don't teach them that, what's the point? It would have been easier just to let it slide, but I think the kids need to know (even when they're teenagers and know every single thing so much better than we ever will!) that the parents get to set the rules. My pet peeve is parents who let their kids act disrespectful to people and don't say anything about it. I used to have a candy store and it blew me away how some parents let their kids talk to me and to them too. Sheesh! Sometimes I wouldn't check snotty kids out until they talked to me politely. Their parents looked at me like I'd grown three-heads, but I got pleases and thank-yous pretty darn quick. You must be a pretty amazing and patient woman to deal with all the different kids you do. It breaks my heart that kids like that have had to deal with so much in their young lives.
Ruth Hang in there! Do you have any good books to read right now. If you don't, just holler and I'll send you a tractor manual to peruse!
I am leaving Saturday morning for Tucson. I'm so excited, even though the drive is long and arduous (good word, huh?) I was worrying that I was still too fat to wear shorts to the Rockies games, but you know what? That's just stupid! In reading all the wise words of you chicks, I had a real light bulb moment and realized that keeping off the weight I've lost is a huge accomplishment and I should be proud. And I am! The weightloss will come when it comes but I have nothing to be ashamed of! So I'm packing shorts. Woo hoo!
Your very long-winded,
Chickadee
