Here is one of the sites that I found on the tops message board that has a lot of great ideas as far as programs, contests, fundraiseing and more.
Check it out: I printed some contests from it this morning to use in my chapter.

I am really getting motivated reading all these contests and getting ideas for my chapter. These are things I never thought about before so they will be new happenings in my chapter this year. So they won't be bored.
Here is a contest/fundraiser you could all do this year. I would like to start it when we take office and run it for the full year.
Each week every member puts in a dime or quarter in a jar. If the member loses weight that week they also put their name on a pc of paper and put it in a box next to the jar. KOPS losing weight or staying at goal or in their leeway for the week can also put their name on a pc of paper and add it to the box also. Then at the end of the year you draw one name. That person gets 1/2 the money and the rest goes into the treasury.
What do you think of that idea. That was on the message board. I really liked it.
Also you can give out as prizes for contests a free fine pass for a month. Meaning that you make up a pass for the winner/winners if you have teams. They are given the passes and can use them for 1 month. For that month they can avoid paying any fines if they have to pay fines that is. I thought that was a neat prize to give away and it doesn't cost any money. It might motivate someone to win so they didn't have to pay fines for a month.
Another idea I just found this morning was this:
You make up ducky dollars. You put a duck in the middle of the bill. You can make them on the computer. You make 1,5,10,20's. Then you put them individually in a security envelope so you can not see through it to see what dollar amount you have. Then everyone takes one envelope (it is sealed) and writes their name on it. If you gain weight you have to take your envelope out of the box. Then open your envelope to reveal what dollar amount you lost. The last person to have their envelope in the box opens it and wins the dollar amount they have. If they have a 1 dollar bill then you can automatically give them 5.00 so it was worth it to them. You can do this and not mention it at the beginning. Save it as a surprise.
I thought that was a neat one also. There are so many ideas out there. We have all been looking for new ideas these are great. You should all check out the message board at tops site and you can find more ideas also.
One I found for a christmas present exchange is this. There is a story you have to print it from the message board. Everyone brings in a wrapped gift and sets it on a table. Then at the beginning of the story everyone goes and picks out a present off the table. Then you sit in a circle. You read the story and there are the words right and left in it. Everytime a direction is said you have to pass your present to that direction. At the end of the story you keep the present that you have in your lap.
I thought that was a neater way of exchanging a 5.00 gift for christmas and it puts some fun into it.
My scale is down today so I am having a great day. I wanted to go to the buffet last night but I didn't go. I am so glad today that I didn't go. I ended up telling my husband that I would rather lose weight then go to the buffet and gain more. So we didn't go. It paid off because my scale is back down again. I will have a loss this week for sure.
Have a great day everyone.
