I haven't been on in a while, but I have checked to see how every one has been doing. You are a great bunch of gals.

I have been doing so-so. I wish I were doing better, but I guess I should be glad for any loss.

Things have been hectic around here, and show no sign of letting up until after SRD. My chapter made costumes for SRD so that took some time. Then we have been doing fund raisers to help pay expenses for SRD. We are having a garage sale this Sat. and I DON'T DO GARAGE SALES! But guess I will work Sat. I need to pull out some things. I have a few already priced.

We had elections tonight and I think we got a good slate of officers.

I don't post very often but wanted to post today to say Happy Birthday Eleni...........you are the greatest and I hope you have a wonderful day.

I am up and down with my weight. I have to start really getting serious here. Our chapter is doing well. We had our elections this week. I was disappointed we didn't have more out but we got all the positions filled. I am staying on as Leader but we have a new Secretary, Treasurer and Co-Leader. It is a good group of officers so it should be a great year. Two of them are really eager to help out and that will be a big help to me.

Anyway...I read regularly but don't post much because I don't feel I have much to say and it isn't very interesting.

Sherri-congrats on your weight loss girl. Have Fun tonight.
You will make a great co-leader. (to me, being co- means working together). So maybe you can help her not to let them run her around. You two have already made some decisions together, just stick with them. And communicate with her. I know that won't be a problem on your end, because you listen so well. And who knows, maybe next year (by then), they will see what a wonderful person you are, and realize, they need to make you leader. So hang on one more year. This still can be the best year ever.

Mickey what a great idea for a fund raiser. I think I will suggest it at our meeting.

Christie, You hang in there. You can do this. One day at a time.

As for me. We are getting another puppy. Seems that someone that had gotten one from the same batch that my parents did, has changed her mind, and wants to give it up. I'm happy. I'm also having a girls night out tomorrow, hoping to do a lot of dancing, (maybe a few cocktails). Hopefully pounds be gone. I haven't had a night out since I went on the cruise, in Sept. last year. I sold the treadmill, and getting the gazell (on layaway) Sunday. Maybe I can talk hubby into getting that also. Then WOW what a weekend I will have. Not much more going on here. You all take care, and talk to you soon.

I have a question. I got on the scales this morning and am up some more. I have been watching what I eat. But I havent been writing it donw. So maybe I am eating more than I should. But I have also been riding my bike everyday. I am riding 4.40 miles. So not sure why the gain. Well enough about me.

I just want to say congrats to all our losers and new officers. Sounds as if alot of TOPS groups are in for some big changes for the good. Everyone seems to have such wonderful ideas.

Eleni Happy Birthday. My son had a birthday on Wed.

Sherri. Your group just dont know what they are missing not having you as leader.

A TOPS PAL

Thanks for all the well wishes and birthday cards etc. I have more birthday cards than I have ever had and I love them. This has already been one of my better birthdays. My supervisor at work brought me a banana with Happy Birthday written on it and a visitors pass with a picture of a birthday cake. I cracked up. He knows I am trying to lose so banana was great. Also got birthday card that the other officers signed.But when I got home I found a real birthday cake in refridgerator. The first one I have had in years. We will do it like we did Bills. Eat some and throw the rest away so I won't get in it.
Thank you again. I turned 56 today and I am very grateful for each birthday I get. I had a bad heart attack and triple-by-pass 7 years so each birthday is a blessing

You have the greatest supervisor for being sensitive to your desires....no sabotage on their part. YEAH!!!!! Bananas are such a great source of potassium also along with being a TOPS friendly fruit. CONGRATS on your loss, you did so well and you sound like your 'up'.....maybe being leader helps. Good for you for planning on getting rid of the real cake. Have a TRULY WONDERFUL REST OF YOUR DAY!!!!!!!

Sherri, I think that it is great that you are coleader. It is that position where you really learn the most jobs...leader, secretary, weight recorder and possibly treasurer. Don't think you got second best! YOu will be an asset to all these positions. I assume the new leader is a fairly new member also. You both will do fine. Did your chapter change their meeting time? CONGRATS on your loss also.

Nita, hope you have a great weigh-in today! What city is your SRD in? It would be nice if you could do IRD. You do know how beautiful Co. Springs is. You must have a special son since he went to the AF Acadamy. It's a great place and what an education! Love the chapel there.

Coco, you basically answered your own question. Yes, write down what you're eating so you can see any patterns setting up and make appropiate adjustments. Good going on the bike riding!! YEAH! Keep it up....you're burning calories!

Mickey, good to hear from you. Have fun at the yard sale and hope you make alot of money. We've been thinking of doing that also.

Marie, wondered where you have been. If you come to read, why not at least say 'Hi'? Since your a leader, there must be some things going on in your chapter you would like to share. We all have unique stuff that can help out someone. What is one special thing that your chapter does that is a motivator?

Wendy, 'Shortstack'??? I've known you as Wendy for so long that I think I'll keep as is.....unless you go to court and get it 'legally' changed! LOLOL! You sound like me not remembering what others write, so I now make notes when I read so I can cheer others on.

CC, hope you are doing great this week. It is like a blizzard here.....dreaming of getting away to somewhere warm. I won't be able to see all of the front lawn until sometime in May when the heat will finally allow the snow to melt closer to the house. Ah, 2 more months. What special get-away are you promoting in your job??? I need to mentally leave town..........

We did it!! My TOPS buddy had a 3.5 lb. loss and I had a 2.5 lb. loss. We agreed to work on losing at least 1 lb. again next week.

Sherri....way to go girl! 6.5 lbs lost is great and congratulations on being elected co-leader. It is a good position. You'll do great with all the good ideas that you have.

Kermie...I loved the idea of cutting out the slim body and putting your head on it and posting it on the refrigeration. I may have to copy that idea for my TOPS Buddy. She would get a good laugh out of it.

Christie.... Congrats on being elected co-leader. And you will lose that gain this week. I'm finally getting my mind set on losing my weight. My daughter-in-law is our queen this year. She is quite delightful and she really stuck with her diet plan and lost about 36 pounds in 10 months. She will be graduating to KOPS at SRD. If she can do it, so can I.

Hey Mickey...I've missed you. What is the theme of your SRD and what kind of costumes are you wearing? Our theme is "Walk of Fame" and I haven't come up with anyone that I want to go as. Our coordinator is going as Marilyn Monroe. Two of the ladies in our group are going as 'Mae West and W.C. Fields'. Two are going as Mimi, from the Drew Carey show. It should be fun.

Summer....Our SRD is in Daytona Beach, not far from Titusville. Right now, they are having "Bike Week" and the motorcyclist are everywhere. They run out of motel space up there and end up down here. Soon all the spring breakers will be there, hopefully it'll be quietened down before the 26th of April.(SRD)

I don't know if you girls remember my best friend whose husband had the heart surgery and I missed our open house to be with her. That was Jan. 25th. He is still in intensive care and has had about 3 surgeries since. She is still making the trip to Orlando every day. Her step son came down from Minnesota to be with her and his dad. Now the step son is in the hospital, too. He has heart problems and they are checking it out. She fell down going into the hospital and one side of her face is black and blue from the goose egg on her fore head all the way down her neck. It really looks terrible, but she says it doesn't hurt. I guess I will be going with her to the hospital until one of them gets on their feet again.

Eleni...Sounds like you had a good birthday. Congrats on the loss.
