One Month Challenge

  • This is a one month challenge. I decided to start this because it's a month till the summer! I know a lot of us have summer goals. Let's try to ramp this up by making a challenge.

    We'll have till May 30th to reach your goals. Hold on, Shannon, a month is really short! How will I reach a goal in a month?!? Pssssh.

    In a month, you could:
    -Start a new healthy habit(it takes a month to make a habit according to a couple things I read this week)
    -Get back on plan
    -lose 4 pounds(1 pound a week)
    -lose 8 pounds(2 pounds a week)
    -start c25k program
    -add more exercise into your plan
    -add 100 extra steps into your life every week/day
    -lose a pants size perhaps
    -And much more!

    If you are up to the challenge, head the call. Simply reply with your starting stats, goals, pictures and check in on this thread periodically.

  • My starting weight: 218.7
    My goal: Get back on plan and to fit into a pair of 16 shorts and fit into a large shirt comfortably
    My measurements: (all in inches)
    Arm: 13.5
    Ribcage: 35
    Waist: 39.5
    Hips: 51.5
    Thigh(at fullest point): 27

    I haven't measured myself for months but that's horrible. Last time I checked my ribcage and waist was equal. *dies*

    These are the size 16s I got yesterday at Cato's. These were bought just to get me on plan. ^_^ If I make it, this will be the shortest pair of shorts I've owned ever. I just hope that I am comfortable enough with my legs to wear them!

    1) drink 48oz of water, Just Water!!! per day
    2) loose 8 lbs.
    3) get 1200 min exercise total
  • Hmmmm.... let me see. I think I will add 3 hours on the treadmill a week.
  • I exercised two times yesterday and stayed within my points. ^_^ Good start.

    My goals are:
    1) Loose 7lbs
    2) Exercize an average of 5x/week
  • my goals:
    1) STAY ON PLAN.
    2) Keep drinking 128 oz of water a day (a gallon - NO SODA!)
    3) Actually exercise. (stop procrastinating!)
    4) Lose 8 lbs.
    5) Gain the courage to get some measurements..Ugh.
  • Measurements shouldn't be that hard. Since you're working on it, they will go DOWN down downnnnnnn soon.
  • I have to lose up to 8 pounds, but more than 4 pounds! I am stuck right now aroung 223-221 and i want to break into the 2 teens!
  • I want to get out of my rut... i seem to have been stuck for 2 weeks
    Goal #1-Lose 5lbs
    Goal #2-Instead of wearing my baggy size 19 pants buy the 17's and feel good in them
    Goal #3-Exercise 5 times a week... not 4 or 3
  • I've exercised 2 times today but ate bad. Overall, a good day, I think, considering I started my TOM.
  • did 45 minutes on the treadmill last night, only 2h and 15 minutes to go yet this week.
  • I am in. My goals for the month of May:

    lose 4 pounds
    plan and log my food daily
    meditation daily
    stretches and movement 2x day - five days a week

    My starting weight is 201.
  • Ok I need this!!

    Goal is to be under 214 by the end of may.

    and to do strength training class 2x a week

    Well here we go to a healthier us!!
