sick?

  • so lately i've been feeling really crappy shortly after i eat sometimes. the other day i even threw up my dinner because it just wasn't sitting. (NOT ON PURPOSE HONEST). it could be something within me.. or the higher amounts of fiber i've been adding to my diet and will eventually adjust and go away? but i'm writing this more or less to see if anyone else experienced anything like this and if anyone has any suggestions. it's usually a gassy/bubbly/sometimes burning feeling in my stomach. and just has been a recent thing. i jumped on the multi vitamin bandwagon hoping that will help but i've just started these so we shall see. and i know i prob should add more water to my day.

    just looking for some suggestions before i start to get nervous and drag myself to a doctor (though i'm sure it's nothing really)

  • I haven't experienced those symptoms. If this has been going on for more than just a few days, I would see a doctor. You're either just coming down with something or it could be something else that we just can't see.
  • you should try to slowly add more fiber into your diet. If you add too much at a clip you will experience gastro distress. Which may be what you're experiencing, the gassy/bubbly feeling anyway. Sometimes I get a little acidy if I wait too long between meals.

    As Faerie says, if it seems to be lingering you should check w/dr. alot of them have #s you can call and talk to a nurse or phys. assist. for advice.

    I have always had trouble taking vitamins on an empty stomach, so be careful with that, I've had them come right back out at times, eww, but now I know, no vitamins w/out something in my tummy.
