I'm back

  • Well, I was posting here last spring, struggling in so many ways. If you remember me and want to see how I'm finally succeeding, take a look in my blog. I share way TMI ; )...and picture (YIKES!).

Anyway, I'll be posting a bit again and will be glad to reconnect with those I knew before. Appreciate support and advice I was given before....
  • Welcome Back JersyGirl69! I just quickly jumped to your blog and wow! You've been busy! I've got some reading to do tonight to catch up. Looks like a great site. Thanks for sharing your blog with us. Keep sharing your success with us when you can!

  • I've missed you!!!!!! I kept checking your profile to see if you've logged in recently, but was always disappointed. I'm so glad you're back - I look forward to reading your blog and getting caught up with you!! Welcome back!

OH! Btw, this is hrbabe! I changed names while you were gone just to sync up a few things, like my blog, etc.
  • Thanks for being so welcoming. Well, it's been a journey...as you may read. Long story short, I could only lose 10 lbs or so on Medifast and was stuck there forever. I was ready to have WLS when I started a new job (which yikes, didn't last). The job had a gym opening when I started and was just a few feet out the door. I signed on the day I started the job and decided if I was willing to pay 10 K out of pocket for WLS, I was willing to pay 10K to a trainer (over time) just to give it a shot.

Ian, my trainer, went from 380 to 200. He's been a trainer a few years now. He's blessed by God with an ability to train both body and spirit and he's been working on both with me.

While I'm quite weight loss resistant, I have managed to get almost 30 lbs off. But more strikingly I discovered how athletic I am. Who knew? My body reacted quickly and developed fast, even if the weight is slow going. I mean, what 292lb person wears a 14/16 top? Well, thanks to training I do.

I'm still learning to not pay attention to the pounds and just DO the work.

    And I like doing it.

I'm on holiday break from my current gig as a consultant and my week off will be in the gym. It's all I want to do.

I encourage any of you if you do read my blog and see something to red flag or where you can offer advice to please do so. No one lives in a vacuum.

Anyway, training this morning. Gotta run!
  • Can I just say, the timestamp on when you have posted speak volumes for your new lifestyle. I know what I was doing at 5:45 this morning and it did not involve an increased heartrate. Best of luck to you & I hope you'll become a regular once again!

LOL. YEah, I have to be an early bird. It's the only way I can get it in. Get it done first thing and then get on with the day.
