Hey - our forum name changed! We're not the LWL anymore!

  • I like it, I was just a little challenged to find the thread this morning!! Now you'll probably tell me this actually happened last week! DUH.........
  • Hey Fran. I just noticed it this morning so you're okay.
  • I saw it last night.... It was LWL in the afternoon, but when I was reading last night, it had changed! All the WW stuff is now above us too, FWIW.
  • OK then, I'll admit it, I miss LWL. It was cute, you know? I know there are men here too, but it was just unique because women who DO lift need to stick together!
  • We could make up our own name to fit the acronym:

    Well-built, Rugged, and Tenacious
    Women Resisting Tubbyness
    Women Really Trying

These are just so-so, but you get the idea.

    Kim
  • Haha, Kim I like the first and third.

We've been kicking around a name change for a while...not just because there are some guys here every once in a while, but we thought the change would encourage more people to visit and make it look like less of a bodybuilders' club Also, we do a lot more than lift here!

Any more names to fit the acronym?

  • We're Really Tired

Sorry I just couldn't resist. I'm going for my first strength training session today after sucessfully completing 50 days of cardio (I'm adding one new thing at a time) and I'm sure that this afternoon that's what I'll be thinking.
  • We Rock Together (or Totally)
  • That's a really funny one. I remember being very tired after I first introduced weight training to my routine. In fact, I would come home, eat, and then nap for about half and hour. By that time the deep muscle pain in my quads and glutes would set in and completely wear me out for the rest of the afternoon. Glad that doesn't happen so often anymore!

Ya know, if I didn't see you all with such great results, I could talk myself right out of this.
  • Nah, don't do that Dixie! You'll come to love it, and the results are great!
  • I did it! I only managed to do my legs and abs because of time contraints, but it's a start.
  • We're Really Toned (or Tight!)
  • We Reek of Testosterone
  • NO! that's what scares too many people! We glow

I get really tired when I change my workout significantly. When I added a day of Olympic lifts to my weekly rotation, I was sleepy for about 2 weeks.

Welcome Dixie! Keep at it- the results can be fantastic
