I managed not to go on a binge...

  • It's my mums birthday so I had a small slice of chocolate birthday cake and a glass of champagne without going on a binge!!
They even brought in fish and chips for tea but I stuck to my healthier pasta instead. I feel like I'm properly in control.

In 7 weeks of being on my own eating plan it's the first time I've allowed myself anything sweet for fear of going on a MASSIVE binge, which I have nearly always done in the past.

Binge-eating is something I have always done, but now, I really feel my relationship with food is in a much better place than it was 7 weeks ago.

Honestly, if I can get in control with my eating then anyone else who is a compuslive overeater or binge eater can too. However, I think you must mentally be prepared which takes a lot.

    Never give up!!

(P.S sorry to the mods if you feel this is in the wrong place, I thought this board would be most appropriate)
  • That is GREAT! I know that we all so often avoid food that we think might just set us off on a spiral downwards. But sometimes we just need to try and trust ourselves and just go for a piece of cake and see if our fears are justified or not.

I am so glad that you did so well!!!
  • That's great Jadeybaby! I love anything chocolate, and I love chips (or fries, as we say across the pond), so I know what a challenge you had.

shrinkingchica, you're right that sometimes we have to allow ourselves to have something we may be afraid to eat. We can still do that and stay in control!
  • CONGRATS!!

    Control is amazing isn't it!

One slice of cake is pretty hard to do and you even chose the healthy pasta instead of just going all out!

Congrats, you did a FANTASTIC job!
  • WOOOOO That is a HUGE achievement
