Is the date for my abdominoplasty. I go for my physical and what-not this tuesday coming up, and then a week from then is the surgery. Anyone got any last minute advice?
Just prepare yourself for not being able to sit upright for a week. Make sure you have some good people helping you out. And take it easy. It isn't a walk in the park, but you should do fine. CONGRATS! You must let us know how it all goes for you.
Some advice given to me was, Keep a note pad by the pain meds and write down when you take stuff-so you dont medicate to often. Have a towel in the car for when you come home, put it on your car seat, in case you leak fluid-then no mess on the car seat. I wore a black house dress home, so I wouldnt get any fluid on a good outfit. Keep your cell phone with you, in case you need help or get stuck in bed or in a chair (sounds funny, but I got stuck on the couch and had to call hubby in his home office to come help me). Get up and walk about every half hour (when you are awake) keeps you from getting stiff.
Cant think of anything else, but get lots of rest and dont over do it.
Well, it's done. No complications or anything so far...everything went perfectly. There was definitely some pain the perocet seems to be working nicely haha. The worst part was the catheter haha...there's some lasting pain from that!
