Good morning, I was very surprised to have a 2# loss. I was expecting maybe a turtle.
My heart doctors visit turned out ok. I guess it is all in how you look at it. I was dreading going. Not because he fusses at me. Because he gets the saddest look in his eyes and is always so concerned and worried about me. They don't make too many doctors like him. He has put me on a mild anti depressant. He said one of side effects of this med is weight loss. He said if he can help me feel better about myself I will better be able to lose weight. I told him I felt like a pharmacy now with all meds I take. His reply was that once I get the weight off I will be taking half the meds. I have never taken an anti depressant before. But I have trusted him with my life for 6 years now and I know he only has my best interests at heart.
Now on a lighter tone---We had our Christmas party last night and I think it was the best ever. We have a chinese gift exchange. That is where you can take gift off table or take something someone else has already gotten. The motto is --Don't get attached til it is over. It is meant as fun. But the best thing and first time I saw this. After it was all over ladies were giving their gifts to the ones that had really wanted what they had. I thought it was such nice gestures. No one had to do it. I gave mine away as it really was not anything I wanted and I knew lady i gave it to would enjoy it. One of ladies gave me the journal she got as she knows I journal. I am loaded up on journals now.
I bought small journals for everyone and kept one for myself. I have about got a collection of them. But I will eventually use them all
Well time flew and now I am running late for work. Gotta go

Eleni, You are so lucky to have a caring doctor. A few years back, I was on an antidepressant for awhile.....and you can guess why. It was one of the best things that happened. I actually started losing weight [even though weight gain was a side affect to the one I was on]....because I started to feel better about me and had a better outlook on life. It is amazing what positive images do to a soul. I hope you do well with it and he is right about the amount of your other meds decreasing because of you becoming healthier once the weight comes off. After all, we all want you to be around for a long time.... Sounds like you had a nice party. Oh, and CONGRATULATIONS on the loss!!!! WOO-HOO!!!!!!!!

CC, are you OK my dear?? Hope you are keeping cozy and warm and drinking lots of warm fluids. Take care of you. Here are some HEALTHY {{{{{{{VIBES}}}}}}} for you!!! Yes, my daughter is getting better too. It just takes her sooooo much longer.

Sherri, are you more rested.? I know you were zapped! I gotta tell you, that including your uncle, I have either personally known or are friends with those that have lost close relatives.......7 in just the past 3 weeks! Talk about feeling drained just from having to talk with those hurting or with my hurt with losing a friend. The latest was just yesterday. Lost a fellow TOPS member from my chapter. She was elderly and had been having medical problems. We also had been taking care of her yard mowing and work, so my hubby knew her also. Wow, things have to be better soon. Take care of yourself and give Megan a hug from me.

I hope everyone else is doing well with staying OP. Remember, we all CAN DO THIS!!!
